Welcome to the Dare to Be Square Dance Workshop on February 6th & 7th in Branson, MO. Get ready for a weekend of fun, learning, and community as we explore traditional square dancing in the heart of the Ozarks. This workshop is perfect for beginners and seasoned dancers alike—no experience necessary!
Schedule
Friday, February 6th:
- Workshop from 4:00 PM – 9:30 PM;
- Dinner (included) at 6:00 PM – Salad and pizza;
- Open Jam Session after the dance until 11:00 PM
Saturday, February 7th:
- Breakfast (on your own);
- Workshop from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM;
- Lunch (included) at 12:00 PM – Sandwiches & Chili;
- Workshop (continued) from 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM;
- Dinner (on your own) from 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM (Dancers will be dismissed for dinner and will meet back for the dance at 7:00 PM);
- Evening Dance from 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM;
- Open Jam Session after the dance until 11:00 PM.

Workshop Instructor
Bob Zuellig from Colorado. Bob will guide you through the steps and rhythms of traditional, community-style square dancing. Live music will be provided by some of the region’s best dance musicians, ensuring an authentic and vibrant experience.
You are welcome to bring younger children to the event. Weddings at the Homestead is a beautiful, private property with plenty of space for kids to run and play.
Payment
Invoices will be sent out on February 1st for payment.
Additional Information
Meals: Friday dinner will be salad and pizza, and Saturday lunch will include sandwiches and chili. Saturday breakfast and dinner are on your own—take the opportunity to explore local dining options or enjoy a meal with friends.
Evening Dances: Evening dances will be held both nights from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, followed by open jam sessions for musicians. Feel free to bring your instrument! Snacks and drinks will be provided.
Dress Code: On Saturday night, some participants may choose to dress up a little for the dance, but any attire is appropriate. Come as you are and enjoy the fun!
