  • I am asking the Recovery Dharma Global Board to change where and how we hold our summits.

  • The problem

  • Right now, our summits happen in the United States of America only.
    Many people in our community cannot go to that country.

  • Who cannot go to the USA?

  • Some people cannot get into the United States of America because:

    • They have a criminal record
    • They are LGBTQ2S+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, two-spirit, or other identities)
    • They come from certain countries (predominantly Muslim)

    The United States of America has many rules that stop these and other people from visiting.

  • Another problem

  • Some people do not want to support systems that are unfair.

    They do not feel comfortable going to the United States of America because of this.

  • What I am asking for

  • I want future summits to be held in different places.
    Places where more people can attend.
    Places that are fair and welcoming to everyone.
    Access so disabled people can join the summit online.

  • What happens next?

  • The Board will look at this request in 2026.
    They will make a decision at the Annual Board Meeting.
