    OVERVIEW

    Have you ever wondered what it would be like to exhibit your work in an Art Museum? Then this is the event for you! Empty Walls is an event/exhibition opportunity for all artists of all skills to showcase their work in a museum setting while providing meaninful support to the Coral Springs Museum of Art. 100% of proceeds raised assist museum arts programming for all ages, and help us continue to offer free admission. Join the fun and help us EMPTY OUR WALLS!  

    EVENT INFORMATION 

    COST:

    • FREE for Active Museum Members + Contributing Artists                              
    • $10 for Early Entry Tickets

    SCHEDULE: Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 5:30 - 9:00pm 

    • 5:30pm-6:30pm - Museum member + Exhibiting Artists only - FREE
    • 6:30pm-7:30pm - Early Entry Ticket Holders + Members + Exhibiting Artists
    • 7:30pm-9:00pm - General Public + Members + Exhibiting Artists - FREE

    SALE: Artwork will be sold at multiple times during the event.  

    HOW TO APPLY:

    - Create a 6"x6" artwork in any media. Works on canvas or cradle board do NOT require additional hanging hardware. Framed works must have hanging hardware (i.e. sawtooth or wire.) Works in other media must have hanging hardware that allows the piece to hang on the wall. If you have a question about how your work hangs, please email us at museuminfo@coralsprings.org.

    - Next, complete this entry fully, and deliver your artwork to the Coral Springs Museum of Art no later than February 21st, 2026. Please note that all artworks are donations, and the artists should NOT have the expectation that their work will still be available at the time of purchase. 

     - The Museum will provide up to 2 free 6"x6" canvases for anyone who would like to participate. Please see our reception desk during regular business hours to pick up your canvas.

    - Participating artists will receive two (2) free Early Entry Tickets.

    PROCEEDS: 

    Every donated artwork will be sold for $25.00 each. 

    • All proceeds help support our museum programs and free admission. 
    • Donations are tax deductible. 
    • Artworks that do not sell during the event remain donated to the Coral Springs Museum of Art. 

    SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: 

    AMOUNT:

    Artists may submit up to 6 pieces of artwork. 

    ONE SIZE ONLY:

    6 INCHES X 6 INCHES ON CANVAS OR CRADLE BOARD, OR, if your art is on paper (watercolor, pen and ink, pastel, etc.), you can frame your art as long as the outer frame is no larger than 6 INCHES X 6 INCHES and is ready to hang.

    • Canvas/Cradles can be purchased at Michaels, Amazon, Dick Blick, etc. They typically cost around $2.00 each 
    • A limited number of free-of-charge canvases will be available for pick-up at the Coral Springs Museum of Art during gallery hours. Available while supplies last.
    1. All artwork must be original in interpretation and composition.
    2. CSMoA reserves the right to reject artwork that is deemed inappropriate or unsafe.
    3. Artists agree that CSMoA may use images of their artwork for event promotions.
    4. Although we will treat your art as gently as possible, CSMoA is not responsible for any damaged art.
    5. NO hanging devices, hooks, or cables on the back of canvases or cradle boards. Cable or hanging strip is needed for framed art.
    6. 3D pieces cannot exceed 6 INCHES X 6 INCHES X 4 INCHES TOTAL DIMENSION.
    7. No wet paint or unsealed pastels/charcoals.
    8. Any medium that meets these guidelines is acceptable (fused glass, prints, fiber art, charcoal, pastels, paint, photography, collage, ceramic, etc.)
    9. Artists may submit pieces as part of a series; however, each piece must work as a stand-alone as buyers are free to choose which pieces to buy. We cannot promise that a full series will be displayed together or purchased together. 

    DATES & DEADLINES: 

    In Person Delivery and/or Receipt of Shipped Work: 

    • Collection will take place February 2 through February 21, 2026 
      • Monday, Friday, and Saturday: 10AM-4:30PM
      • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 10AM - 7PM               

    ELIGIBILITY:

    The exhibition is open to artists: 

    • Youth/Teen ages 7 - 17 
    • Adult ages 18 and Up 

    SHIPPING/DELIVERY OF ARTWORK:

    The artist is responsible for the cost of shipping or mailing artwork to The Coral Springs Museum of Art using UPS, Fed-X or DHL. Artwork may also be hand-delivered to the Coral Springs Museum of Art on the appropriate dates during the scheduled times.


    MEDIA/PUBLIC RELATIONS: 

    The Coral Springs Museum Art reserves the right to use digital images of exhibited artwork for media, website, PR and advertising.
