    Upstairs Prayer Hall: (Capacity: 100). $125 per hour

    Safah Lounge (ICOI MPR): (Capacity: 55) $175 per hour

    East Classroom: (Capacity: 30) $125 per hour

    West Classroom: (Capacity: 30) $125 per hour

    Patio (Capacity: 100): $125 per hour

    Marwa Hall (Village MPR): (Capacity: 80-100) $200 per hour

  • Regulations and Guidelines for Use

    • The facility cannot be rented or reserved for any purpose on Fridays.
    • Requests for ICOI facility use and arrangements must be submitted no later than 14 days prior to the proposed date of use. Please note that any event request submitted fewer than 10 days prior to the event date will incur a $100 rush fee.
    • Deposit is required for Reservations.
    • Cancellations must be turned in to the ICOI office at least one week prior to the event.
    • Barbecuing, smoking and alcohol are prohibited in the building and on the grounds (including parking lot).
    • DRESS CODE: The Islamic Center of Irvine primarily serves as a place of worship. Whoever attends an event here, whether it be for worship or not, should observe dress that is modest, respectful and not revealing.
    • Events cannot interfere with ICOI scheduled salah/programs.

    This policy is non-negotiable; all event rental requests go through internal review, and no exceptions will be granted under any circumstances. Any request may be denied or rejected at the sole discretion of ICOI, with no explanation required.

  • Main Prayer Hall (Musalla) Guidelines

    These rules are strictly enforced to preserve the sanctity of the prayer space:

    1. Final Agreement
      • All agreed-upon terms, rules, and conditions may not be changed or added to after the final invoice has been approved.
    2. Permitted Use
      • The Prayer Hall is reserved strictly for the approved event purpose.
        • For Nikkah ceremonies: only the Katb Kitab/Nikkah (Akad) is permitted.
        • No additional activities such as photography sessions, gift exchanges, giveaways, or similar activities are allowed.
        • No printed photos may be used as decoration.
    3. Time Limit
      • A maximum of 2 hours is allowed for use of the Prayer Hall for Nikkah ceremonies.
    4. Prayer Accommodation
      • No event may interfere with any scheduled fard (obligatory) prayers.
        • All activities must pause/stopped during prayer times.
        • Space must be made available for all congregants.
        • No attendee may restrict access to the prayer area.
        • All prayers will be led by an individual appointed by ICOI.
    5. Food & Drink
      • No food or beverages are allowed in the Prayer Hall under any circumstances.
    6. Decorations
      • Decorations must not damage or alter the space in any way.
        • No staples, push pins, tape, or adhesives may be used on walls or surfaces.
        • No decorations are permitted in front of the mihrab.
        • No real flowers or plants are allowed in the Musalla.
    7. Dress Code
      • All attendees must dress modestly and respectfully in accordance with the standards of a place of worship.
    8. Capacity
      • The number of attendees must not exceed the approved capacity listed on the reservation form.
    9. Furniture
      • ICOI can provide up to:
        • 150 chairs
        • 1 table
      • Tablecloths and decorations are not provided.
    10. Point of Contact
      • A designated primary contact person must be assigned and available throughout the event. This is the same individual that has contacted us from the beginning process of renting the facility.
    11. Facility Tour Requirement
      • A facility walkthrough must be completed prior to the event date.
    12. Media & Equipment Use
      • Use of ICOI media equipment (including TVs/screens) is not permitted for external events unless explicitly approved. All content must be reviewed and approved in advance.
    13. Violations
      • Any violation of these guidelines may result in:
        • Immediate termination of the event
        • Forfeiture of the security deposit
        • No refunds, at ICOI’s discretion
  • Security Deposit:

    A refundable Security Deposit Fee (cash or certified check) of 50% of the total amount is due upon approval of the rental application. Final payment must be made 1 week prior to the date of event. Checks should be made payable to the “Islamic Center of Irvine.” Security Deposit Fees will be refunded within 10 days after the scheduled event if upon inspection by ICOI Staff the facilities are found in a reasonable and satisfactory condition, and attendance criteria have not been violated. If major cleaning and/or damage requires costs beyond the deposit, the individual or organization is responsible for that cost.

     

    Fees for rental of the various ICOI facilities are set forth on the Facility Request Form and must be paid in full to secure a reservation. The person and/or organization sponsoring the event is responsible for clean-up and any damage, loss or disturbances during the rental period.

  • Flyering

    You may not begin marketing/publicizing this event until the material is approved by ICOI. Upon approval, ICOI will place an official stamp on the flyer and only that and copies of that material may be distributed.

    1. Reservation Policy

    • Requests for facility use must be submitted at least 14 days prior to the event date.
    • Reservations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

    2. Final Agreement

    • All agreed-upon terms, rules, and conditions may not be changed after the final invoice has been approved.

    3. Permitted Use

    • Only areas and equipment listed in the rental agreement may be used.
    • Use is limited strictly to the approved time and purpose.

    4. Access & Timing

    • The facility will not be available before the scheduled start time listed on the rental agreement.
    • Any time needed for setup or decoration must be included in the reserved time.

    5. Parking

    • Parking is permitted in designated areas only.
    • Double parking or unauthorized parking is strictly prohibited.
    • If the parking lot is used for the event, parking in that area is not permitted.

    6. Capacity

    • Building and room capacities must not be exceeded under any circumstances.
    • Refer to the Facility Request Form for maximum capacities.

    7. Prohibited Activities

    • Barbecuing, smoking, and alcohol are strictly prohibited in the building and surrounding grounds (including parking areas).

    8. Supervision of Minors

    • Children under the age of 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times.

    9. Food & Beverages

    • Food and drinks are only permitted in:
      • Patio
      • Safah Lounge
      • Marwa Hall
    • Food and beverages are strictly prohibited in all other areas.
    • No leftover food may be stored in kitchen or storage areas.

    10. Decorations & Damages

    • Decorations must not damage or alter any part of the facility.
    • No staples, push pins, tape, adhesives, or similar devices may be used on walls or surfaces.
    • The individual or organization hosting the event is responsible for:
      • Cleanup
      • Any damage or loss
      • Any disturbances during the rental period


    11. Furniture & Setup

    • ICOI can provide:
      • Up to 100 chairs and 10 rectangular tables (ICOI building)
      • Up to 100 chairs and 20 tables (Village)
    • Seating layout must be submitted at least 1 week prior to the event date.
    • Tablecloths and decorations are not provided.

    12. Event End Time

    • All events must conclude by:
      • 9:00 PM, or
      • 30 minutes prior to Isha prayer time, whichever is earlier.

    13. Prayer Accommodation

    • No event may interfere with scheduled fard (obligatory) prayers.
    • All activities must pause during prayer times.
    • Space must be made available for all congregants.
    • No attendee may restrict access to prayer areas.
    • All prayers will be led by an individual appointed by ICOI.

    14. Dress Code

    • ICOI is a place of worship.
    • All attendees must dress modestly and respectfully.

    15. Media & Promotion

    • Event promotion through ICOI Media Committee may be requested for an additional fee.

    16. Classes & Instruction

    • All classes or group activities must be approved by ICOI and the Resident Scholar.
    • All instructors must follow the Guidelines for Instructors.

    17. Violations

    • ICOI reserves the right to enforce all guidelines at its discretion.

      • Immediate termination of the event
      • Forfeiture of the security deposit
      • No refunds
