  • A load management switch on qualifying equipment by a Central Georgia EMC employee. If an LMS cannot be installed on the air-source electric heat pump or water heater, the equipment is not eligible for the residential rebate.  The load management switch must remain on equipment and in operating status as long as CGEMC has a load management program. 

    Limit one (1) qualifying water heater and one (1) qualifying heat pump rebate per member/household. 

    To qualify for the rebate, the heat pump and/or water heater must have been installed on or after January 1, 2026. Rebates are paid by bill credit once the load management switch has been installed.

    In addition to the residential rebate for your participation in the load management program, you will receive a bill credit of up to $30 in November ($20 for HVAC/mini-split, $10 for water heater). Rebates are subject to change without notice. This rebate program ends on December 21, 2026.

  • Total Electric Mini-Split Heat Pump

    Up to a $400 Rebate

  • Maximum one HVAC rebate per member number per year. The heat pump must be total electric. If a load management switch can be installed on the Mini-Split then the rebate will be $400.  If a load managment switch cannot be installed on the system then the rebate will be $200. CGEMC installer will make the determination if the switch can be installed.

    for electric storage water heaters , 40 gallons or larger

  • Maximum one water heater rebate per member number per year. Must be an electric storage water heater.  Tankless water heaters do not qualify. A load management switch must be installed on the equipment to qualify for the rebate.
