Students will learn how to create unique and beautiful pictures of animals. Participants of this class will also learn about the principles of art such as color and balance in order to create their art pieces using acrylic paint. Students will learn techniques including laying and shading in order to learn the steps to creating expressive and exciting animal portraits that can be made either as fun and friendly portraits or as masterpieces that can be put into a gallery. Students will learn about color theory and the relationship that it has with other principles and elements of art.
In this class you will be learning about:
*The basic fundamentals of acrylic painting (including how to use acrylic paint materials)
*Color theory, mixing colors, primary and secondary colors
*The relationship between colors, shapes, and storytelling
*Different styles of painting (realism, surrealism, abstract)
