  • Maintaining a healthy body weight is an important part of a dog’s overall health and quality of life. We understand that dogs can become overweight for many reasons, including medical conditions, medications, mobility limitations, or circumstances outside of an owner’s control. We also know that food and treats are often one of the ways we show our dogs love. Because excess weight can contribute to or worsen a number of health conditions, we expect adopters to work with their veterinarian to maintain a healthy body condition whenever possible. Have you ever had a pet that was considered overweight or was advised by a veterinarian to lose weight?*
  • Many bully breed dogs are predisposed to certain health conditions, including environmental and food allergies, chronic skin and ear infections, cruciate ligament (ACL/CCL) injuries, hip dysplasia, and other orthopedic issues. Are you prepared for the possibility of managing these conditions if they arise?*
