  • Dear Renting owner,

    There are a few changes for 2026 so please take time to read the new Rules and Regulations, along with the Rental Fees and Fines (set out by LLV STR Committee).

    · There have been a few failures to comply with permit standards, especially with regard to minimum 2-night stays and Occupancy levels exceeding Township STR Rules.  

    Your Locust Lake Village STR permit is renewable in January of each year and should be completed, along with a $600.00 STR fee payment, no later than January 1st  2026, your Annual Dues and any outstanding balances must be due by February 28th, 2026. Do to the late budget approval, this year the STR fee must be paid by February 28, 2026.

    · Please ensure that you have renewed your 2026 LLV STR Permit and submitted payment before that date as citations will be issued for non-compliance after March 1st, 2026. New Rental wristbands will not be issued.

    · You can renewal the LLV STR Permit link https://locustlakevillage.org/owner-rental-registration/.

    For 2026, each STR Property will receive rental wristbands for the permitted number of Renters.

    · For example, if your Township Permit is for a total of 8 people, you will receive 8 wristbands.

    · Wristbands should be kept on the property for each Renter to use and left at the end of their stay for the next Renters.

    · Wristbands must be picked up by the Renting homeowner or a designated representative, by March 1st  2026.

    · Owners or their representatives picking up wristbands must provide Identification and will sign that they have received the appropriate number of wristbands.

    · If a designated Representative is picking the wristbands up for the renting homeowner, we must have received a written request via email at rentals@locustlakevillage.org from the owner naming the Representative, prior to pick up

    · If the Homeowner or Renter loses any wristbands, the Office must be notified immediately, any replacement wristbands will be $25.00 each.

    · You will be charged $35.00 on your account per every rental registration.

    The Mandatory STR Committee meeting for Orientation on all new procedures was held on November 15, 2025. For those who did not attend in person, there will be a link given out shortly for an instructional video that you will need to watch.

    Your contact information must be up to date and you, or your Representative must be reachable within 1 hour to resolve issues over the phone, and a 24-hour emergency contact to be on site within 30 minutes if management deems that a phone call does not resolve any escalation issues.

    Any Day guests of the Renter will be required to register on a separate Rental Registration Form.

    · A Fee of $5.00 per person per day and $10.00 per car will be applied.

    · There will also be an additional Rental Registration Form for any changes to Renters and Vehicles.

    Once we have received the LLV STR Permit request, paid $600.00 STR Fee and attended the Mandatory Orientation, you will receive a Locust Lake Village STR Permit and a Behavioral Policy via email, for your Rental Binders. Both Township and Locust Lake STR Permits should be displayed at the property and on your Booking platforms.

    Ensure you have signed the acknowledgement prior to proceeding with the Locust Lake Village STR Permit request, and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    • Documents
      Documents may be emailed to rentalpermits@locustlakevillage.org. However, for fastest service, please upload this information.  Word, PDF and image files are acceptable.
      • Date of last septic pumping/inspection
      • Proof of septic pumping/inspection if not already on file with the office
      • Copy of township permits
      • Copy of rental listing on any website or realtor
    • You will be required to acknowledge the following:
      • Rental owner orientation is required prior to renting
      • If property has a hot tub, it is in compliance with LLV rules
      • All safety devices are in working order
      • All rental listings must include permit number
      • LLVPOA reserves the right to view/edit listings as needed to comply with LLVPOA rules
      • Renter using golf cart must have written permission from owner
      • Have read and understand LLVPOA Rental Policies and Procedures.

  • Applicant Contact Information

    Person we may contact regarding the application. This contact will also receive an email confirmation upon completion of the application. You will be able to provide a different Emergency Contact later.
  • 24 Hour Emergency Contact

    This person must be available by cell phone within 1 hour to resolve any issues. The expectation is that most issues should be able to be resolved without further escalation. If, however, management deems unsuccessful, the 24-hour emergency contact must be able to be on site within 2 hours.

    Documents may also be faxed (570)694-6690, mailed, or dropped off at the office at 1778 Lake Ln, Pocono Lake, PA 18347. However, your application will not be processed until all documentation has been received.
  • Septic

    Septic systems must be inspected and pumped every 3 years.  Please provide the last date of inspection and pumping.  Also provide the inspection/pumping report if it is not already on file with the office.
