• West Side Tenants Association: Mutual Aid Request Form

  • Our Mutual Aid fund provides grassroots funded resources to these tenants who are facing displacement and the consequences of eviction.

Ways these funds will and have been used:

Support legal costs of fighting evictions in court
Material support for living expenses for tenants
Moving expenses for those who have been evicted from their home
    Medical expenses
    Relocation funds
    Groceries + basic living necessities

We prioritize Trans & Queer Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), disabled, undocumented, immigrant families that live in the Bay Area, tenants we are actively organizing with, and those without access to other resources. We also prioritize 3-day sheriff eviction notices and emergent housing crises.

At this moment, we cap aid requests at $2500 cumulatively, and can assist you in creating larger fundraisers as capacity allows.

Due to our volunteers' capacities, we are only able to manage 4 requests at a time. We can not guarantee that we will be able to fully meet your request, but will do our best based on community resources available. We understand the urgency of needing aid, are not a nonprofit, and do not have an operating budget. Our funds come from crowdsourcing and art fundraisers.

After filling out this form, one of our volunteers will plan to follow up with you on your request! Due to our volunteer capacity, request outreach may take a week, on whether we can support your ask.
