Join our free monthly creative wellness circle offered by The Aplomb Project in Dover, New Hampshire led by Jennifer Jarvis.
This abstract acrylic painting workshop offers a carefully held creative environment for individuals who have experienced domestic or sexual abuse. Through guided art-making, participants can explore boundaries, choice, and expression in a way that prioritizes safety and autonomy. There is no expectation to disclose personal experiences since this is not therapy or a mental health support group. The group centers creative practice as a pathway to empowerment and regulation, not verbal processing of trauma. All materials are provided for in-person participants. If you selected to receive an art kit, it will be mailed to the address you provided prior to the session. If you are joining by zoom with your own materials, have some acrylic paint, a surface like canvas, wood or mixed media paper, a palette or paper plate, a cup of water and brushes.
By completing this form, you are registering for the next monthly circle for the upcoming First Wednesday, 6:30-8 PM at Aplomb, 262 Central Ave, Dover, NH or via zoom. We have free parking behind the gallery off of Kirkland Street. You will receive a reminder prior to the event with all participation details. Our first one is February 4, 2026.
About Your Instructor, Jennifer Jarvis:
Creating art has been an essential part of Jennifer’s life since childhood. Jennifer works virtually with clients around the world to help them find peace through the process of painting. Jennifer attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University, and later earned a bachelor of science degree in Family Studies from the University of New Hampshire. As an early childhood educator and researcher at the University of New Hampshire’s Child Study and Development Center, Jennifer began meshing her interests in art and its use in brain development and education.
Jennifer believes creative, artistic expression resides within every person, just waiting to be discovered. And she believes everyone can find it — if they try, or if they’re guided to it. Jennifer serves as just such a guide.
