Position Overview
The Relief Hub Operations Intern is a paid, time-limited student internship supporting the day-to-day flow and operations of the Tiny Essentials Relief Hub during public service days. This role provides hands-on support with preparation, organization, and family flow to help ensure families experience a welcoming, respectful, and efficient visit.
This internship runs from January through June 2026 and is designed for students or early-career individuals interested in community-based service, family support, or nonprofit operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with set-up and breakdown of the Relief Hub space
- Pack and prepare supply bags for families
- Support organization and restocking of supplies
- Assist with managing family flow during public hub hours
- Greet families and provide basic directional support as needed
- Assist with preparation of materials and forms for service days
- Support general on-site operations under staff guidance
- Follow all program protocols, safety procedures, and confidentiality standards
Schedule & Time Commitment
This internship requires a time commitment of approximately 8–10 hours per week. Some weeks may be lighter or heavier depending on Relief Hub activities.
Interns must be available for occasional in-person attendance during public Relief Hub service days to capture photos or content.
Relief Hub Public Schedule
Mondays: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Thursdays: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Fridays: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Occasional Saturdays: Community events (with advance notice)
Contractor Status & Internship Terms
- This is a paid internship
- Interns will receive a $1,000 stipend for the duration of the internship
- Internship period: January – June 2026
- Expected time commitment: approximately 8–10 hours per week
- Stipend payments will be issued in two installments:
- 50% in March 2026
- 50% in June 2026 upon completion of the internship period
- This position does not include employment benefits
Qualifications
- Interest in community-based work, family support, or nonprofit operations
- Reliable, respectful, and comfortable working in an in-person setting
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance
- Comfortable with hands-on, active tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- College students and/or recent college graduates encouraged to apply
- Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred
