Every team is expected to identify 2 adults that are willing and able to volunteer at the team's Championship for the general volunteer roles for a minimum of 6 hours.
[There are a few roles that require less time and a few roles that require more]
The team's Coaches can volunteer to help with Setup (as can the team's Adult Volunteer) which counts.
And the team's Coaches can volunteer to bring a full FLL Challenge table with sawhorses and the UNEARTHED challenge kit which counts as well.
For the event day itself, the team volunteers must be adults that are not either of the team's Lead Coach 1 or Lead Coach 2 except as mentioned above.
If the team has more than 2 adults working as coaches/mentors, the event day adult volunteer can be one of the extra coaches or mentors.
The team's Adult volunteer does not have to be a parent of a team member but could be a family friend, neighbor, or other adult that you know.
This person's name and email will be handed to the PAL Volunteer Coordinator. Please let your volunteer know that you are submitting their name and email!
Your volunteer must also register in the FIRST Volunteer Management System (VIMS) and pass the YPP background screen.
Team volunteers MUST not to apply to be as part of the Referee or Judge crew per NorCal and FIRST policies related to conflict of interest.
