    Filing an appeal does NOT relieve the taxpayer of their responsibility to pay property taxes on time.

  • SUBMITTING THIS APPEAL DOES NOT DELAY THE PAYMENT OF TAXES THAT ARE BILLED. SOUTH CAROLINA STATE LAW REQUIRES THAT TAXES BE PAID BY THE ESTABLISHED PENALITY DATE. PENALTIES AND INTEREST WILL NOT BE WAIVED.

  • INCOMPLETE AND UNSIGNED APPEALS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.

    THIS FORM MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE BEAUFORT COUNTY ASSESSOR'S OFFICE NO LATER THAN JANUARY 15, OR WITHIN NINETY (90) DAYS OF THE DATE OF ASSESSMENT NOTICE, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST, OF THE CURRENT TAX YEAR TO APPEAL THE APPRAISED VALUE.

    UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 12-60-2510-2560, CODES OF LAWS OF SC 1976, I HERBY APPEAL THE APPRAISAL /ASSESSMENT /RATIO/ USE VALUE FOR THE PARCEL LISTED ABOVE.

    I UNDERSTAND THAT COMPLETING THE BOX BELOW CONSTITUTES A LEGAL SIGNATURE AND MY ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OUTLINED WITHIN.
