    • Internship Overview 
    • Internships are a great way to build leadership, creativity, and real-world experience — even outside of the summer camp season.

      Our internships are part of Shooting Star Adventures and may include opportunities with Camp Two Roads and/or Ohdaka Day Camp, depending on the role.

    • Training and Commitment

      • Interns complete required onboarding and role-specific training before starting
      • Schedules are flexible and arranged individually, based on the internship and time of year
      • This is a skill-building, leadership-focused experience designed to give you meaningful, real-world practice

      Important Program Note

      • Camp Two Roads is an all-girls overnight camp
      • Only female applicants are considered for internships at Camp Two Roads
      • Male applicants are welcome to apply for internships with our non-profit and co-ed programs, including Ohdaka Day Camp
    • Social Media & Marketing 
    • Social Media & Marketing Intern (Grades 10+)

      Social Media & Marketing Interns help create and plan digital and print content that highlights our camps, events, and staff life.

      You may help with:

      • Social media posts and captions

      • Graphics and simple design projects

      • Outreach & Event Planning

      Best for people who:

      • Enjoy creativity, storytelling, design, or social media
      • Want real experience to help build a portfolio
      • Like seeing ideas turn into finished projects

       

    • Photography 
    • Photography Intern (Grades 10+)

      Photography Interns help capture and share camp and event moments through photos.

      You may help with:

      • Taking photos during camps and events

      • Editing, uploading, and organizing images

      • Working directly with our Media Specialist

      • Helping tell the story of our programs through visuals

      Best for people who:

      • Love photography
      • Want hands-on experience
      • Enjoy fast-paced, active environments
    • Counselor in Training (CIT) 
    • The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is not offered for the 2026 season.

       If you’re interested in leadership, we recommend:

      • Applying as a Junior Counselor or Counselor at Ohdaka Day Camp

      • Continuing to build skills as a camper at Camp Two Roads

  • Position Desired

  • As a staff member, you’ll be expected to check the staff calendar regularly, attend required trainings, and help support camp through local outreach events when possible.

  • Potential Conflicts and Optional Events

    Interns are encouraged to participate in most trainings, fundraising commitments, and scheduled camp dates whenever possible. Please share any known conflicts in advance,

  • Returning Staff - Please provide the information below about your health insurance, primary physician, and current medications. Accurate information is important so our camp nurse can respond appropriately in case of illness or emergency.

    • Inhalers and approved self-carry medications may remain with you, as long as they are kept out of campers’ reach.
    • All other prescription and over-the-counter medications will be stored and administered by the camp nurse, unless prior arrangements have been approved.
    • All medications must be in their original containers and clearly labeled with your name.

  • Staff Policies and Requirements

    Please review the policies below carefully.
    • Staff Handbook and Code of Conduct 
    • If you are selected for an interview, you will be asked to sign a Code of Conduct. A copy will be sent to you after you submit this application, and you can also review it using the link below.

      If hired, you will receive access to the Staff Handbook and are expected to read and follow all policies.

      We use BAND as our main communication platform
      Interns are asked to download the app, turn on notifications, and check it regularly during their internship


      Response expectation: Please respond to direct messages within 48 hours. (This applies to messages sent to you individually, not the main camp feed.)


      Direct communication: Interns are encouraged to communicate directly with camp staff when they have questions or updates
      We understand that younger interns may sometimes loop in a parent or guardian for support

      Email: Interns should use an email account that is separate from a parent or guardian’s email for camp-related communication whenever possible.


      Parent access to BAND:

      • For intern under 18, parents will be invited to a separate parent BAND feed.
      • For interns 18 and over, a parent or guardian may be added to the parent BAND feed upon request.

    • Fundraising and Other Event Participation* 
    • Event Participation:

      Interns are not required to attend every event, but are encouraged to participate in and share fundraising efforts that help support our programs
      If you live locally, volunteering at Lilac Run outreach is strongly encouraged and may be required depending on your role and availability.

      The full staff calendar is available in the Staff Portal and on BAND. As new events are added, you will be notified and asked to RSVP in BAND within two weeks.

      We understand schedules vary and appreciate clear communication about availability.

    • Photo/Comprehensive Liability Release 
    • The named camp participant and his / her parent or guardian (if applicable), hereby grant permission to Shooting Star Adventures, Inc. to be photographed and / or otherwise have images or voice recordings made (including but not limited to digital photographs, video or digital moving images, or voice recordings) for Shooting Star Adventures, Inc. publication or promotional purposes. I authorize the above named to be used in any medium (including but not limited to print media, newspaper, television, video, motion picture, or internet web site). I consent to the use of my or the program participant’s name or interview comments in connection with SSA publication or promotional purposes in print media, newspaper, television, video, motion picture, or Internet publication. In addition, I / we waive the right to inspect or approve draft or finished products, including written or electronic copies, wherein my likeness appears. I / we waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the above-described actions. I / we hereby hold harmless and forever discharge Shooting Star Adventures, Inc. from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, our heirs, representatives, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby waive any rights I may have to sue Shooting Star Adventures, Inc. involved with the coordination and execution of programming. This includes involvement and / or participation in the following programs: Camp Two Roads. I understand this permanent waiver of my rights to sue Shooting Star Adventures, Inc. for any reason stands with respect to personal injury, property damage, emotional affects, civil rights violations, or any other experience of concern as a result of my child’s participation in programming. I hereby release Shooting Star Adventures, Inc. from any and all liability in every case and agree to use and exhaust any and every insurance policy unrelated to Shooting Star Adventures, Inc. prior to filing a claim associated with Shooting Star Adventures, Inc. or the liability coverage of their programs.
