LIABILITY RELEASE & ASSUMPTION OF RISK
(Annual Waiver)
This agreement applies to all non-boarders, haul-in riders, schooling participants, show
participants, guests, and visitors participating in equine activities at Highbury Stables LLC.
SCHOOLING, SHOW & HAUL-IN RULES
All participants must follow posted signs and verbal instructions given by Highbury
Stables staff or management at all times.
ASTM/SEI-approved helmets with properly fastened harnesses are required whenever
a rider is mounted.
Boots with heels are required.
Approved body protectors are required when riding cross-country.
Participants may only handle, ride, or interact with horses they own or have express
permission to handle or ride.
Participants must remain in designated riding and public areas and may not enter private
or restricted areas without express permission from Highbury Stables staff or management.
Any unsafe condition, loose horse, injury, or concern related to human or equine safety
must be reported immediately to Highbury Stables staff.
All participants are expected to treat staff, other riders, and visitors with respect at all
times.
Highbury Stables LLC is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property or
equipment brought onto the premises.
Failure to comply with these rules may result in removal from the property without refund and/or
denial of future access.
LIABILITY RELEASE & ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I understand and acknowledge that equine activities are inherently dangerous and involve risks
that may result in serious injury or death. These risks include, but are not limited to: falls, kicks,
bites, collisions with horses or objects, uneven footing, weather conditions, equipment failure, and
the actions of other riders or horses.
By participating in equine activities at Highbury Stables LLC, I voluntarily assume all risks, known
and unknown, associated with my participation and presence on the property.
I hereby release, waive, and discharge Highbury Stables LLC, Correia-Bittner Equestrian, and their
owners, managers, employees, agents, contractors, and representatives from any and all claims,
demands, actions, or causes of action arising from injury, loss, or damage sustained while
participating in equine activities or being present on the premises, to the fullest extent permitted
by Texas law.

I acknowledge that this Release applies to all schooling days, schooling shows, haul-in activities, and related events hosted by Highbury Stables LLC. I agree to comply with all posted Schooling Show Rules, prize list policies, and instructions provided by Highbury Stables staff or show management while participating in or attending any such event.
TEXAS EQUINE ACT NOTICE
WARNING
Under Texas law (Chapter 87, Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code), an equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.
MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION
In the event of an emergency, I authorize Highbury Stables LLC to obtain emergency medical treatment if I am unable to do so. I understand that I am responsible for all medical and related costs incurred.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT & SIGNATURE
I have read and understand this agreement. I am signing it voluntarily and understand that I am giving up certain legal rights.
