Only Defendants or the Defendant’s heirs, as established by a probate court, are entitled to make a claim. An heir must provide documentation from a probate court establishing the right to file a claim.
It may take up to thirty days for review and approval of your request. After approval, a check can be picked up in the Auditor’s Office or mailed.
