  • PLEASE NOTE!

We are an outdoor camp. Regardless of the week or theme you sign up for, we spend 80% - 90% of any given camp day outdoors playing in nature. As long as it is safe to do so, we even enjoy playing outside on rainy days. We are also an unplugged camp. Meaning we do not utilize any screens or traditional technologies, even during technology-centered themes such as Robot, Space, or Engineering Week. Instead, we opt for more unplugged strategies for teaching things such as coding, the use of gears, mechanical wiring, robotic movement, and activities that encourage kids to think like engineers.

    • About Wilderwood Groups

At Wilderwood, campers join us at various ages—and then grow up with us each summer. Our goal is to wow and engage them each and every year—and leave them looking forward to the next summer as much as we do.

Serving campers from ages 3 all the way to 15, our programming and group structures cover a wide range of fun and adventurous developmental stages. By placing {campersPreferred} in a group based on {his} age, we are able to customize activities that meet {his} evolving needs and interests while still providing the full Wilderwood experience.

We want {campersPreferred} to stay engaged, experience varied activities, be challenged, and have a great time. That’s why {his} group’s schedule will change a little each day and contain a well-thought-out balance of major program areas such as sports, fine arts, outdoor adventures, performing arts, special events, and water time.

In each new group as {campersPreferred} grows, we will add more elective time where {campersPreferred} can pick between several special interest activities as well as adventure options. We carefully craft these programs so that boys and girls in each age group can get the most out of their experience.

A world of rich adventures and fun awaits {campersPreferred}, and we can't wait to have {him} as a part of the {groupName} this year.

    • {campersPreferred} will be in {pickYour698} this year. {campersPreferred}'s age group is determined by the age {he} will be on the last day of camp. The last day of camp this year will be {now}. Based on {campersPreferred} birthday ({whatIs836}) {he} will be {camperAge838} years old on the last day of camp ({now}).

  • Let's get {campersPreferred} registered for our camps

We are really excited to have {campersPreferred} joining us at camp this year! And we just know {he} is going to have a great time. So now, let's make sure you both are ready for camp.

    • Best of The Best Camp (Ages 3-12) | July 6th- 10th
    • Best of The Best

Best of the Best Week at Wilderwood Camps is a camper-built celebration—an all-time greatest hits week created entirely by the kids. This theme is announced well ahead of camp, giving campers a voice before they ever arrive. Through voting, idea submissions, and creative input, campers help design the week by choosing their favorite activities, games, and experiences from the past five years in Chattanooga, while also pitching bold new ideas for what comes next.

This is not a preset program. Best of the Best Week is intentionally flexible and responsive, shaped in real time by camper preferences. From high-energy games to creative experiences, adventure challenges to quiet moments, the schedule reflects what campers love most—and what they’re excited to try for the first time. Counselors become facilitators and collaborators, helping bring camper ideas to life.

    • TEEN Camp

Teen Camp at Wilderwood is a bold return to the roots of what Wilderwood was always meant to be—raw, challenging, and transformational. This week is intentionally designed for older campers who are ready for something deeper than themed games and surface-level fun. It is gritty, immersive, and purpose-driven, drawing clear inspiration from the Survivor style of competition and endurance while staying grounded in the heart and values of Wilderwood.

Teen Camp strips away the fluff and invites campers into a high-stakes, team-based experience built around resilience, leadership, and personal growth. Campers are divided into tribes and face a series of physical, mental, and strategic challenges that test their ability to work together, adapt under pressure, and push beyond their comfort zones. Success is never about strength alone—it requires communication, problem-solving, trust, and self-awareness.

    • Theatre Part 1 | August 3rd - 7th
    • Theatre Camp (Part 1)

Theatre Week (Part One) at Wilderwood Camps is all about laying the groundwork—building confidence, trust, and creative chemistry before ever stepping into the spotlight. This first phase focuses on the fundamentals of performance while forming a true ensemble, where every camper feels safe to take risks and express themselves.

Campers spend the week exploring acting basics through interactive games, improvisation, movement, and voice work. Emphasis is placed on collaboration rather than individual performance, helping campers learn how to listen, respond, and support one another on and off the “stage.” Theatre is treated not as a performance skill alone, but as a tool for communication, empathy, and self-awareness.

      This week emphasizes:

Confidence and presence, helping campers feel comfortable being seen and heard
Ensemble-building, fostering trust, cooperation, and shared creativity
Improvisation and play, encouraging spontaneity and adaptability
Foundational theatre skills, including movement, voice, and character exploration
Part One is intentionally process-driven and low-pressure. Campers experiment, fail safely, laugh often, and begin to discover their unique creative voice. By the end of the week, they’ve built a strong ensemble culture—setting the stage for something bigger!

    • Theatre Part 2 | August 10th - 14th
    • Theatre Camp (Part 2)

Theatre Week (Part Two) at Wilderwood Camps takes everything built in Part One and brings it to life. This is where the ensemble becomes a production team and the creative process culminates in a shared performance experience.

Campers work together to rehearse, refine, and stage a theatrical production. They dive deeper into character development, blocking, storytelling, and stagecraft, while also exploring behind-the-scenes roles like set creation, props, costumes, and production problem-solving. Every camper has a meaningful role—onstage or off—reinforcing that theatre is a collective art form.

      This week emphasizes:

Commitment and follow-through, seeing a creative project through to completion
Collaboration under pressure, balancing creativity with responsibility
Storytelling and expression, bringing characters and narratives to life
Pride and accomplishment, culminating in a final performance or showcase
Part Two carries higher stakes, but always within a supportive Wilderwood environment. Campers learn how to handle nerves, adapt when things change, and support one another through the final moments. The experience closes with reflection and celebration—honoring not just the performance, but the growth, courage, and teamwork it took to get there.

Together, Theatre Week Part One and Part Two form a complete creative journey—from fearless exploration to confident execution—rooted in connection, expression, and the heart of Wilderwood.

    • Extended Camp
    • Extended Camp Registration

Wilderwood Camps wants every child to have the chance to experience the wonders of summer. And what better place is there to enjoy the adventures of summer then at summer camp? We want to make sure every child is given every opportunity to come to camp this year. But we know that schedules can be a tricky thing for some parents. That is why we offer our Extended Camp service. With our Extended Camp service you are able to drop off your child any time between 7:00 AM and the start of Camp at 9:00 AM, as well as pick your child up any time from the end of Camp at 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM, giving you an extra 6 hours of camp a day. The best part is that it's flat $15 a day for the days you use it.

Now don't get confused, “Extended Camp” is not daycare… it’s an action packed extension of all the fun exciting adventures of camp. However, that doesn't mean it's the right option for everyone or even something that families who do use it need to use every day.

All that being said, for the purpose of supplies and staffing, we do need a general feel for about how many campers we will have that might use our Extended Camp service. So, if you feel like you might need to utilize our Extended Camp service while your camper is here at our summer camp, please indicate that.
