Theatre Camp (Part 2)
Theatre Week (Part Two) at Wilderwood Camps takes everything built in Part One and brings it to life. This is where the ensemble becomes a production team and the creative process culminates in a shared performance experience.
Campers work together to rehearse, refine, and stage a theatrical production. They dive deeper into character development, blocking, storytelling, and stagecraft, while also exploring behind-the-scenes roles like set creation, props, costumes, and production problem-solving. Every camper has a meaningful role—onstage or off—reinforcing that theatre is a collective art form.
This week emphasizes:
Commitment and follow-through, seeing a creative project through to completion
Collaboration under pressure, balancing creativity with responsibility
Storytelling and expression, bringing characters and narratives to life
Pride and accomplishment, culminating in a final performance or showcase
Part Two carries higher stakes, but always within a supportive Wilderwood environment. Campers learn how to handle nerves, adapt when things change, and support one another through the final moments. The experience closes with reflection and celebration—honoring not just the performance, but the growth, courage, and teamwork it took to get there.
Together, Theatre Week Part One and Part Two form a complete creative journey—from fearless exploration to confident execution—rooted in connection, expression, and the heart of Wilderwood.
