Client Acknowledgment
Individual Tax Preparation
Returns are categorized by complexity level rather than form count.
• Simple Wage Return → $250
(Includes 1 W-2 and 1 state return only. No dependents, credits, or additional forms/schedules.)
• Moderately Complex Return → Starting at $350+
(Includes returns with multiple W-2s, tax credits, or additional forms and schedules.)
• Business or Rental Return → Starting at $750+
(Includes Schedule C self-employment, rental property returns, rental property filings, and other complex tax situations.)
Final pricing reflects complexity, risk, and required analysis.
A detailed engagement fee summary will be provided for review and approval prior to filing on tax return.
Payment is due prior to e-filing unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
Tax Resolution
• Tax Resolution & Tax Debt Representation → Starting at $5,000+
(For clients needing strategic assistance with IRS or state tax debt matters, including notices, unpaid balances, compliance restoration, resolution planning, and other complex tax resolution engagements.)
Payment Options
Clients may choose one of the following payment methods:
- Direct Payment:
Invoice payable via ACH, debit/credit card, or approved payment plan.
- Pay-By-Refund Option:
If I elect to pay my preparation fees through a Pay-By-Refund bank product, I understand that:
- A third-party bank product will be used Additional bank product fees will apply.
- Bank product fees are set by the bank.
- These fees are separate from Solstice Tax & Financial Services preparation fee.
- Bank fees will be deducted directly from my refund
Bookkeeping Cleanup Policy
Business and rental clients are required to provide organized financial summaries (P&L, categorized expense report, mileage log where applicable).
If records require reconstruction or cleanup, additional fees will apply at a rate of $50 per hour.
Work Commencement, Cancellation & Abandonment Policy
I understand that once tax preparation services have commenced, I am responsible for compensating Solstice Tax & Financial Services for time, analysis, and labor invested, regardless of whether my return is ultimately filed.
If I cancel services or choose not to proceed after work has begun:
- A minimum cancellation fee of $200 or 40% of the total estimated preparation fee (whichever is greater) will be invoiced.
“Abandonment” is defined as lack of communication, failure to respond, or failure to provide requested documentation for more than 14 calendar days after engagement has begun.
If my file is deemed abandoned, the cancellation fee will apply.
I agree that any cancellation or abandonment fee is due upon invoicing, regardless of whether the return is completed or filed.
