  • De Cillo Equine Veterinary STALLION Clinic Breeding Services Agreement

    This Breeding Services Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into on: Between Veterinary Clinic: De Cillo Equine Clinic, located at 22121 Gratehouse Lane, Hempstead, TX 77445, hereinafter referred to as "Clinic," hereinafter referred to as "Stallion Owner."

  • 1.      Purpose

    This Agreement outlines the terms and conditions under which the Clinic shall provide veterinary reproductive services to the Stallion Owner’s horse(s). The Clinic does not stand stallions and only offers veterinary breeding-related services for stallions including semen collection, shipping semen, freezing semen, stallion collection training.

    2.      Stallion Collection Dates for 2026 Season

    a.      Stallion collections are performed from February 1st to July 15th, no exceptions.

    b.     Collection days are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday ONLY.

    c.      Order is needed by 5:00 PM the day before the semen is shipped.

    d.     Collections are performed at 10:00 AM and no later.

     

    3.      Admission Requirements

    Upon arrival at the Clinic, all stallions bust be accompanied by the following:

    a.      If not an established Patient at De Cillo Equine, a valid health certificate indicating current vaccination for:

    ·         Rabies

    ·         Strangles

    ·         Tetanus

    ·         Vetera Gold + VEE

    b.      If an established patient, all vaccines must be current.

    c.      A negative Coggins test (Equine Infections Anemia) dated within the last six (6) months.

    d.      The Stallion Owner must provide, in writing, any known health risks, medical conditions, or behavioral issues relevant to the stallion’s care and safety during his stay.

  • 1.      Veterinary Services and Billing

    a.      The Stallion Owner agrees to pay for all veterinary services and associated fees incurred during the stallion’s stay as invoiced.

    b.     Payment is due when services are rendered.

    ·         All Fees must be paid in full prior to the release of the stallion from the Clinic.

    ·         All fees must be paid in full before the semen is shipped.

    c.      The Clinic maintains a Right of Lien pursuant to applicable laws for any unpaid charges relating to care, boarding, and/or veterinary services.

     2.      Semen Handling Policy

    The Clinic is not responsible for the quality or viability of shipped semen. Any delays, damage, or reduced fertility associated with semen transport are outside the Clinic’s control.

     3.      Risk Acknowledgement and Liability Waiver

    The Stallion Owner understands that:

    a.      Hospitalization and breeding services carry inherent risks, including injury. Illness, or death.

    b.      While the clinic exercises professional care and diligence, it shall not be liable for any injury, illness, or loss of the stallion while on the premises or under Clinic care.

    c.      The Stallion Owner acknowledges that the Clinic does not provide insurance coverage for stallions under its care. The Stallion Owner is solely responsible for obtaining insurance coverage, if desired.

  • 1.      Emergency Treatment

     

    In the event of an emergency, the Clinic is authorized to administer any treatment deemed necessary for the health and welfare of the stallion. The Clinic will make reasonable efforts to contact the Stallion Owner before initiating major procedures, but if unreachable, the Clinic’s decision shall be binding. The Stallion Owner agrees to cover all costs associated with such treatment.

  • 7. Right to Refuse Service / Removal The Clinic reserves the right to refuse service or require removal of any stallion that poses a danger to staff, other horses, or itself, or in cases of non-payment or breach of this agreement.

    The Clinic reserves the right to refuse service or require removal of any stallion that posses a danger to staff, other horses, or itself, or in cases of non-payment or breach of this agreement.

     2.      After-Hours Breeding and Additional Fees

     a.      Breeding performed outside of regular business hours will incur a $75 after-hours fee.

    b.      The board fee is $52 per day and includes hay, feed, and bedding.

    c.      If the stallion remains at the Clinic longer than necessary, the board fee will be $65 per day.

    ·         The Clinic will notify the Stallion Owner when the stallion is ready for pickup.

    ·         The Stallion Owner must pick up the stallion within 24 hours of such notification.

    ·         Failure to do so will result in daily boarding fees and may be subject to the Clinic’s Right of Lien.

     3.      Governing Law

    This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas.

    4.      Entire Agreement

    This Agreement contains the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior oral or written agreements. No amendment shall be valid unless made in writing and signed by both parties.

    IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Agreement as of the day and year first written above.
