  • Absurdity

What does one do in the face of today’s reality of declining public trust, polarization, incivility, personal attacks, societal disengagement and disillusionment, rampant misinformation, lies, and alternative facts?

    WE EMBRACE THE ABSURD!

Artists resist oppression through expressions of sorrow and whimsy, splendor and repugnance, profundity and silliness. Art has the power to overcome complicity, apathy, and indifference — an antidote for slop and banal escapism. By its very nature, the creation of art—defining and expressing personal meaning when the universe seems to have none—both embraces and rebels against the absurd.

So…show us how you’re embracing absurdity.
