  • The Sea Mar Dedicated Employees Scholarship supports current staff that are pursuing their college degree and to encourage those who dreamed of continuing their education. 

    • A paid part-time (0.5 FTE or above) or full-time employee*.
    • Has been employed at Sea Mar a minimum of one year by the scholarship deadline of April 15, 2026.
    • Plans to continue working at Sea Mar after the scholarship is awarded.
    • Pursing their undergraduate or graduate degree**.
    • Be enrolled/planning to enroll in at least 10 credits per quarter during the 2026 – 2027 academic year.
    • Students are eligible for one Sea Mar Scholarship at the undergraduate level, and one Sea Mar Scholarship at the graduate level.

    *Does not include on-call employees or AmeriCorps members.

    **Does not include professional development or certification.

    Scholarship Amount: $1,000

  • To be considered for this scholarship, you are expected to provide answers to the following five (5) questions:

    Question 1: Why are you applying for this scholarship and how do you plan to use the scholarship?

    Question 2: What do you see yourself doing three years from now?

    Question 3: As an employee, what is your most memorable experience and how did it impact you?

    Question 4: What barriers, if any, have you experienced in your quest to obtain your educational degree.

    Question 5: How has the Sea Mar mission impacted the way you approach and reach out to your community?

    Each essay must be a minimum 300 words and max of 500 words.

    We highly suggest you write and save your essay responses in a seperate document and when ready to submit, copy and paste into this application.
