Helpful hints and general directions for completing the Westonka District #277 Foundation Scholarship can be found on the Foundation website at www.westonka277foundation.org

To ensure that your scholarship application is received in an accurate and timely manner, please follow these instructions:

1) Complete the online application form below, saving as you go or your work may be lost. Your original thoughts (not the use of AI) are expected for this application.

2) At the end of the application is a link to upload your complete high school and PSEO transcripts. Please upload in PDF format. (Your transcript can be found in Skyward)

3) Save the form when completed and submit. You should receive an email from Jotform that your application was successfully submitted.

4) After you receive confirmation of successful submission, email the scholarship Committee at info@westonka277foundation.org notifying them that your application has been submitted. You will receive a return email within 3 days confirming receipt of your complete application.

5) As soon as possible, secure 1 or 2 people to write recommendations for you. The recommendation form can be found at www.westonka277foundation.org website under the "Recommendation Form" tab. Follow up with your recommenders to see if they have any questions or obstacles to submission in a timely manner.

6) Once these 5 steps are successfully complete, the application process is complete. You will be notified of awards in late April.

REMEMBER THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION AND RECOMMENDATIONS IS FEBRUARY 13TH, 2026 AT 5:00 PM CST.

Recommendations preferred via separate Jotform at https://form.jotform.com/243446931066156 and they are due on February 13th, 2026. It is shared directly below in case you want to reference it when asking for recommendations. Other notes: -->Recommendations should describe your character, abilities/talents, work habits, and other insights into what will make you a successful post-high school student, and why you are deserving of the honor or this generous scholarship. --> Please allow plenty of lead time ahead of the deadline to ask for recommendations, many of them will be writing for several students. -->Please confirm with them that they have submitted the applications by the deadline. -->It is recommended that you ask for two recommendations in case one falls through or doesn't submit it on time. -->It is your responsibility to follow-up and make sure at least one has been submitted by the deadline. --> The form can be downloaded for all recommendation writers to fill-out and sent via email to info@westonka277foundation.org with the subject line stating: "Recommendation for (student's name)". -->The recommendation Jotform link can also found at www.westonka277foundation.org on the Scholarship Application webpage.
