  • 📢 NOTICE: Passport Application Process

    All applicants are required to complete the passport application form online by following the steps below:

    • Open the official passort application portal (online form):
      👉 https://emrtds.nepalpassport.gov.np/

    • Select the type of application from the options available
    • Select Ordinary 34 Pages and click on Proceed and Click on I Agree

    • Select Other for Appointment Country and please select “Any Country City” (for example: NCG, Dallas, NE, Dhaka, NE, Copenhagen etc.) and choose any available appointment month (such as January, March, April 2026, or any other available month).

      After selecting these options, book the appointment and complete the application form carefully.

    • Note down your Request Number, then click Finish.
    • Click Download PDF, print the form, and bring the printed copy with you when visiting the Consulate of Nepal.

    ⚠️ Important:
    Applications will not be processed without the completed and printed PDF form.

    Please ensure all information is accurate before submission.

    For Renewal of Adults" Passport

    • Nepali Citizenship Certificate (front and back Page)/Colour Copy if original Citizenship Certificate is not available
    • Original Passport
    • Photocopy of Valid Visas (Passport will not be issued if holding Protection Visa)
    • Print out of dully filled online form

    (Applicants above 16 years without citizenship certificate due to not being able to travel to Nepal to obtain such certificate can apply for passport renewal with validity of 2 years. Such applicants must submit Minor Citizenship Certificate in place of Citizenship Certificate. Within this period, they must travel to Nepal and obtain Citizenship Certificate if they again need to renew their passport.

    For Replacement of Lost/Stolen passport

    • Colour Copy of Nepali Citizenship Certificate (front and back Page)
      Copy of Front page (photo page and page 3) and back page (page 31) of the current passport
    • Photocopy of Valid Visa (Passport will not be issued if holding Protection Visa)
    • A signed application addressed to the Embassy with details of lost passport and police report number (No any specific format)
    • Print of dully filled online form
       

    For replacement of damaged passport

    • Nepali Citizenship Certificate (front and back Page)/Colour Copy if original Citizenship Certificate is not available
    • Print of dully filled online form
    • Original Passport (damaged)
    • Photocopy of Valid Visa (Passport will not be issued if holding Protection Visa)
