    Once your application has been submitted, we will be in contact to acknowledge receipt and confirm that your 28-day application process has started which includes:

    • Requesting a letter of introduction from your current/previous Club (if you have one).
    • Your details being sent to our Club President, who will be in contact to invite you to an interview.
    • The application including your name , town of residence, and sought category being displayed on our general notice board in the clubhouse.

  • Headingley Golf Club are required to let you know about how we use, share, and/or gives access to your Personal Data.

    When you gain membership, we maintain your personal data on online membership software. Both your original application form and a handwritten register of members including address are kept in locked storage on site. Only Office staff have direct access to all the above data via password protection and keys.

    Staff are not authorised to disclose any personal details of members to any outside agencies. Telephone numbers of members may be given to other members and the office staff are also authorised to issue e-mail addresses and addresses in certain circumstances (e.g., following bereavement).

    Contact Telephone Numbers, First Names and Surnames are published in the members Handbook each year. Members may request to be excluded from this listing or have certain numbers excluded.

    Members of the Club Committee, Ladies Committee and the Professionals staff* (by definition a 3rd party) also have access to some of your personal data for the purpose of administering Club Competitions. This excludes your Membership Fees data, bar till data and any notes that the office has made during your membership.

    Also linked to our membership software is our tee booking system. From time to time we will afford access to some of your personal data to other companies in order to assist us. These include our diary printer, website developers and retained IT advisors. All of these are 3rd party companies that have access to some of your personal data for the purposes of ongoing Club operations. None are authorised to use or retain your data outside of their contracted arrangements with Headingley Golf Club.

    With effect from June 2022 the Club has installed CCTV in the Car Park to assist the prevention of crime in accordance with other policies and procedures at the Club.

    Credit or Debit Card transactions. Your transaction slips are securely kept as accounts documentation after which they are separated and destroyed.   

    As members we contact you only to transact the normal operations of a golf club and believe that we are entitled to do so under the 2018 GDPR legislation.
