  • This scholarship program supports the children of current staff that are pursuing their college degree and to encourage those who dreamed of continuing their education. 

    To be eligible to apply, an applicant must:

    • A person who has a parent or legal guardian who is a current part-time (0.5 FTE or above) or full-time Sea Mar employee*.
    • Parent or legal guardian who has been employed at Sea Mar a minimum of one year by the scholarship deadline of April 15, 2026.
    • Be enrolled/planning to enroll in at least 10 credits per quarter during the 2026 – 2027 academic year.
    • Students are eligible for only one Sea Mar Scholarship at the undergraduate level, and only one Sea Mar Scholarship at the graduate level.

    Scholarship Amount: $1,000

    *Does not include on-call employees or AmeriCorps members.

  • To be considered for this scholarship, you are expected to provide answers to the following four (4) questions:

    Question 1: Tell us about your educational aspirations and any short- and long-term goals you have.

    Question 2: Tell us about any personal, financial hardships and/or unusual circumstances you have had to overcome. How have these experiences shaped you as a person and how will they help you in the future?

    Question 3: Sea Mar's mission is committed to providing quality, comprehensive health, human and housing services to diverse communities, specializing in service to Latinos. Do you identify with the mission of Sea Mar. Why or why not?

    Question 4: Who is one of your role models and how has she or he impacted you.

    Each essay must be a minimum 300 words and max of 500 words.

    We highly suggest you write and save your essay responses in a seperate document and when ready to submit, copy and paste into this application.
