To be eligible for this scholarship you must be:

1. Grandview High School graduating senior who shows commitment to their education, demonstrate leadership and cares for their community.
2. Students who exhibit financial need
3. Students who are from a farm working background and/or Latino/a/x
4. Students who will be enrolling full-time at a public or private higher education institution, excluding for-profit institutions. Preference will be given to students planning to attend Washington public institutions.
5. Be a Washington state resident.

Prior to starting the application, we highly encourage applicants to review the essay questions below and in a separate document, type and save your responses. Once finalized, copy and paste responses into the online application.

To be considered for this scholarship, you are expected to provide answers to the following four (4) questions: 

Question 1: Briefly tell us about yourself. Include information such as your long- and short-term goals.

Question 2: Pick an experience from your own life as a member of a migrant seasonal farm worker family or year round farm labor or an individual with a Latino/a/x background and explain how it has influenced who you are and/or the way you see the world.

Question 3: Sea Mar is a community-based organization that provides quality services to diverse communities in all areas of life. What about your community would you like to change or improve and how would you do it?

Question 4: Why do you believe you deserve this scholarship?

Each essay must be a minimum 300 words and max of 500 words.

We highly suggest you write and save your essay responses in a seperate document and when ready to submit, copy and paste into this application.

Give yourself time to fix any formatting errors before submitting.

All applications are to be submitted by April 15, 2026 PST.
