The purpose of this form is to allow people to report what they believe is a mistake in the USA Powerlifting Rulebook. The current version of the Rulebook can be found on the Technical Committee page of the National website. Submissions will be handled as follows:
- Small mistakes (e.g., misspellings, misnumbered items, etc.) that do not affect the integrity, interpretation, and enforceability of the rules will be corrected in the next January 1 rulebook update
- Larger mistakes that could potentially affect the integrity, interpretation, and/or enforceability of the rules will be corrected immediately in the Rulebook Supplement and changed in the Rulebook in the next January 1 rulebook update (in rare cases, the Rulebook will be immediately updated and an updated version posted)
If a mistake is reported but it is not, in fact, a mistake, no action will be taken other than letting the person who submitted the mistake report know.
This form must be submitted separately for each mistake. In other words, multiple mistakes cannot be submitted in a single form.
This form is not intended to be used to submit rule change proposals and any such proposal will not be acted upon. Official rule change proposals are reviewed and voted on at the annual National Governing Board (NGB). Questions about the procedures for submitting NGB rule change proposals should be directed to the Secretary of USA Powerlifting.
