We are thrilled to keep the Willow Creek Photo Contests going! We have a panel of esteemed community leaders to judge the contest, and you are welcome to read more abou them at this link.

CAPTURE THE ESSENCE OF THE WILLOW CREEK REGION:
We invite you to share your photographs that highlight the beauty and diversity of our community. Here are some suggestions for what to capture:
- Nature: The stunning natural landscapes and wildlife that make Willow Creek special.
- Farm/Agriculture: The rich agricultural heritage and farming landscapes of Willow Creek.
- Community: People enjoying life in Willow Creek - gatherings, events, shared moments, creativity, and the everyday rhythms of our small town.
- Events: The excitement and joy of local events and celebrations.
- Recreation: How you enjoy the great outdoors and recreational activities in Willow Creek.
- Bigfoot Sightings (Real or Creative!) – Capture the legend in action.
We look forward to seeing Willow Creek through your lens!
Contest Rules:
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
- This contest is open to amateur and professional photographers
- There is no cost/fee for entering this contest
WHO IS INELIGIBLE?
- Willow Creek Chamber employees, sponsors, board of directors, photo contest judges, and their immediate family members are not eligible to win.
Submission Guidelines:
CONTENT:
- Photographs must depict scenes from Willow Creek Region in the winter months. (I.e. Burnt Ranch, Hoopa, Six Rivers National Forest, etc.)
IMAGE QUALITY:
- All photographs must be a digital image - scans/photos of physical photographs, or screenshots will not be accepted.
- Digital images must be .jpg and at least 1 MB in size with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. (an average smartphone photo is about 3-9 MB and should be fine!).
- All images should be scalable to 8.5x11 inches without losing quality resolution (again, smartphone images should be fine!).
- Photographs can be color or black and white. Minor digital enhancement is permitted, but images that have been significantly modified or appear unnatural will not be considered.
- Photographs/images that use artificial intelligence will also not be considered.
- Photos that include logos, watermarks, or copyrights are not accepted.
- Photographs with inappropriate or obscene content are not accepted.
ORIGINALITY:
- All entries must be your own, original work.
- Photographs must have been taken in Willow the Creek Region.
- Photographs showing off the winter season in the Willow Creek Region, 2026 or earlier.
HOW TO SUBMIT/ENTER:
- Use this form for your official entry.
- DO NOT UPLOAD MORE THAN ONE PHOTO PER FORM. You are welcome to submit multiple photos, but if you do enter more than one photo, please submit each photo individually.
- Complete the required fields on this form, including your name, contact information, and a brief description of your photo.
- Upload your high-resolution photo (minimum 300 dpi) in jpeg format.
- Agree to the terms and conditions of the contest and submit your entry.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
- By submitting your photos to the Willow Creek Photo Contest, you agree to all of the following terms:
- All decisions will be final.
- The Willow Creek Chamber of Commerce has the right to recategorize or disqualify any entrant.
- Photographers under 18 years of age must have parental/guardian permission.
- If there are people in the photograph and it was taken in a non-public space, it is the responsibility of the photographer to obtain permission to use the photograph.
- Willow Creek Chamber of Commerce has the right to use and publish all entered images on its website and for promotional purposes, and will always do their best to appropriatly credit to the photographer.
JUDGING CRITERIA:
- Entries will be judged based on creativity, composition, quality, adherence to the theme, and overall impact. If a photo is not found or deemed a winner that aligns with our guidelines or theme, there is no guarantee that any submitted material will be used. If a winner is determined, we will attempt to contact the winners before the winning announcement.

While photographers may submit multiple entries, only one photo per entrant may receive a top placement (1st, 2nd, or 3rd place) to ensure fair representation of the broader community.
WINNERS:
- Winners will be notified by phone and/or email. Winning entries may be published in the Willow Creek Newsletter, uploaded to our website, displayed at our Visitor Center, and highlighted on our social media.
