  • Between Veterinary Clinic: De Cillo Equine Clinic, located at 22121 Gratehouse Lane, Hempstead, TX 77445, hereinafter referred to as "Clinic," and Mare Owner:

  • 1. Purpose This Agreement outlines the terms and conditions under which the Clinic shall provide veterinary reproductive services to the Mare Owner's horse(s). The Clinic does not stand stallions or offer recipient mares and only offers veterinary breeding-related services including, but not limited to, Artificial Insemination (fresh, cooled, or frozen semen), Cycle checks, Pregnancy checks, Pre-pregnancy wellness, Ultrasounds, Uterine lavages, Uterine Cultures and other Diagnostic Testing, Embryo Flushes, Embryo Transfers (your recipient mare), Pre-Foaling Vaccinations, etc If Mare Owner has ordered fresh semen from an out of state breeder, Mare Owner is responsible for transporting semen from Airport to clinic if necessary as well as all associated shipping costs for each shipment.

    2. Breeding Season Dates a. Breeding Season begins on February 1ˢᵗ at De Cillo Equine Clinic. b. Breeding Season ends on June 30th. We do not start new mares later than April 30th.

  • 3. Admission Requirements Upon arrival at the Clinic, all mares must be accompanied by the following:

    a. If not an established Patient at De Cillo Equine, a valid health certificate indicating current vaccination for: Rabies (Please attach Vaccination Certificate below in "file upload")

    b. If an established patient, all vaccines must be current (Please attach Vaccination Certificate below in "file upload")

    c. A negative Coggins test (Equine Infectious Anemia) dated within the last six (6) months (Please attach Coggins Certificate below in "file upload")

    d. Mares will be placed on a routine de-worming program upon arrival. All veterinarian expenses related to de-worming or other necessary treatments will be the sole responsibility of the Mare Owner.

    e. The Mare Owner must provide, in writing, any known health risks, medical conditions, or behavioral issues relevant to the mare's care and safety during her stay. (Please attach List of health risks, medical conditions, behavioral problems below in "file upload")

    3. Veterinary Services and Billing

    a. The Mare Owner agrees to pay for all veterinary services and associated fees incurred during the mare's stay, as invoiced.

    b. A $500 deposit is required at the beginning of each cycle

    C. Payment is due when services are rendered if charges are in excess of $500 All fees must be paid in full prior to release of the mare from the Clinic and before an additional cycle can begin.

    d. The Clinic maintains a Right of Lien pursuant to applicable laws for any unpaid charges relating to care, boarding, and/or veterinary services.

    4. Semen Handling Policy The Clinic is not responsible for the quality or viability of shipped semen. Any delays, damage, or reduced fertility associated with semen transport are outside the Clinic's

  • THE MARE OWNER ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT THERE IS NO GURANTEE THAT THE MARE WILL CONCEIVE, REMAIN IN FOAL, OR DELIVER A LIVE FOAL AS A RESULT OF THE SERVICES PROIDED BY THE CLINIC. ALL SERVICE AND BOARDING FEES ARE DUE REGARDLESS OF OUTCOME.

  • 5. Risk Acknowledgment and Liability Waiver

    The Mare Owner understands that:

    a. Hospitalization and breeding services carry inherent risks, including injury, illness, or death.

    b. While the Clinic exercises professional care and diligence, it shall not be liable for any injury, illness, or loss of the mare while on the premises or under Clinic care.

    C. The Mare Owner acknowledges that the Clinic does not provide insurance coverage for mares under its care. The Mare Owner is solely responsible for obtaining insurance coverage, if desired. De Cillo equine fees must be paid when services are rendered and Mare Owner to be reimbursed by insurance company.

    6. Emergency Treatment In the event of an emergency, the Clinic is authorized to administer any treatment deemed necessary for the health and welfare of the mare. The Clinic will make reasonable efforts to contact the Mare Owner before initiating major procedures, but if unreachable, the Clinic's decision shall be binding. The Mare Owner agrees to cover all costs associated with such treatment.

  • 7. Right to Refuse Service / Removal

    The Clinic reserves the right to refuse service or require removal of any mare that poses a danger to staff, other horses, or itself, or in cases of non-payment or breach of this agreement.

  • 8. After-Hours Breeding and Additional Fees a. Breeding performed outside of regular business hours will incur a $75 after-hours

    This fee applies only to live or cooled semen, not frozen semen.

    C. The board fee is $52.00 per day and includes hay, feed, and bedding. b. If the mare remains at the Clinic longer than necessary, the board fee will be $65 per day. The Clinic will notify the Mare Owner when the mare is ready for pickup. The Mare Owner must pick up the mare within 24 hours of such notification. Failure to do so will result in daily boarding fees and may be subject to the Clinic's Right of Lien. 9. Governing Law This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the

    10. Entire Agreement This Agreement contains the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior oral or written agreements. No amendment shall be valid unless made in writing and signed by both parties.
