  • First State Heritage Park's Delaware Heritage Festival returns to the Dover Green once more on November 7th, 2026!

    The intent of this programis to highlight all of Delaware’s history, culture, and heritage from pre-history to the present day! For 2026, the Delaware Heritage Festival will be held on Saturday, November 7th, from 10:00 AM -3:00 PM.

    Foremost, the Delaware Heritage Festival is a public program with an educational mission. Public admission is kept free to ensure community accessibility. With limited space available in our historic venue, preference is given to participants who demonstrate a commitment to historical authenticity and offer meaningful interpretation, interactivity, or demonstrations of their trade or skill.

    Applicants that will be selling goods at the Delaware Heritage Festival are subject to a non-refundable $75 vendor fee, to be paid via check upon application approval.

    NOTE: This fee is waived for museums, partners, and non-profits. Participants further acknowledge that First State Heritage Park may photograph, quote, or in other ways document the artisans and their representatives, products, and display, for use by the site.

  • PLEASE NOTE: If selling wares at the festival, you will be subject to a $75 fee. If this fee is an issue, please contact nicole.r.hutchison@delaware.gov.

  • Performers, Demonstrators, and Reenactors

  • Demonstrators/Reenactors, will you use period appropriate displays and tools?*
  • Will you be demonstrating a production of your craft on site?*
  • Does your demonstration involve firearms or sharp-edged weaponry? Please note, prior written permission from the Interpretive Programs Manager and the Superintendent is required to bring your firearm or other weapon onto the premises and will be inspected upon arrival.*
  • Do you understand that the firing of any weaponry on the premises is strictly prohibited, and will result in immediate removal from the event, and you will not be invited to future events with First State Heritage Park?*

  • NOTE: First State Heritage Park cannot provide fire wood.

  • NOTE: First State Heritage Park works on a limited budget for the Delaware Heritage Festival, and we cannot accept all who apply.

    If requesting payment, you will be required to provide the park with an invoice, and a signed Delaware State Parks performer's agreement. You will also be required to ensure your State of Delaware Vendor status is active--details will be provided on this if selected to participate.

  • Set-Up Information

  • NOTE: First State Heritage Park has a limited number of tents and tables, and they are divided out on a first-come first-served basis. The need for a tent or table needs to be disclosed in this jotform, or it cannot be provided.

    Modern tents are expected to provide their own tents, tables, and chairs.

  • NOTE: There is limited parking in the area around the Green, and all parking spots will need to be assigned. With the closure of the Johnson Victrola Museum parking lot, it is imperative that you follow your assigned parking instructions should you be selected for the event.
