Note 1: As a Franchise Owner, you should understand that the Underground Bowling Association (UBA) is not a traditional bowling league and does not adhere to the rules, regulations, or financial structures typically associated with such leagues. The UBA is a bowling entertainment platform designed to offer bowlers a dynamic alternative to conventional league and tournament bowling. As a UBA Franchise/Team owner, you are registering your team or franchise within our Association, not obtaining ownership in the UBA itself. The UBA recognizes only one individual/entity as the official Franchise/Team owner. The internal structure of your team or franchise beyond this designation is entirely up to you and your team members. By participating in the UBA, you acknowledge and understand this.
Note 2: As a Franchise Owner, you should also understand that our event financials should not be compared to those of a bowling league or bowling tournament. The UBA is not a bowling league, nor do we host traditional bowling tournaments. Instead, our Association conducts a season tour along with specialized bowling events that have a unique structure tailored specifically to our membership. In most cases, our financial payouts for the season tour and events are more rewarding than those of traditional bowling leagues and tournaments. For transparency, a detailed explanation of event financials will be provided and made available to all members shortly after the completion of each event. Please note that during official UBA competitions, all registered franchise members are required to wear UBA apparel exclusively from one of our Association's approved apparel partners. By participating in the UBA, you acknowledge and understand this.
Note 3: Photo & Video Disclaimer:
UBA events may be filmed or photographed. By participating in UBA events, all team members acknowledge and agree that their image may appear online or in UBA publications. Participation grants UBA permission, in advance, to film and publish event activities.
Note 4: On average UBA franchise owners have rosters of between 25 to 30 players to ensure that 9 to 10 players are available for tour stop competitions. Some rosters have less while others have far more.
Note 5: To keep things consistent and show off UBA pride, all team members must wear official UBA shirts at competitions, including tour stops. Official apparel is available exclusively through our authorized apparel partners, ensuring everyone looks sharp and unified.
Note 6: Franchisee Expectations Center-franchisees have a key role in ensuring smooth and successful events. To make the most of each event, UBA center-franchisees are expected to offer reasonable lineage fees to encourage participation, maintain proper lane conditions by oiling lanes to your center's standard house shot before the event and between shifts, and ensure all shifts start on time. Creating a welcoming atmosphere is just as important-bowlers and spectators should feel at home with friendly service and a clean, well- maintained facility. Additionally, it's essential to have enough staff scheduled to keep up with increased food and beverage sales and ensure your PA system is fully functional for important event updates and announcements. By meeting these expectations, you'll help deliver an exciting, well-run event that benefits both your center and the UBA community.
