There will be half days at each barn. We will do our best to accommodate location requests and judge requests.

Format: Choose the Dressage test(s) that you wish to ride. Warm up for your test, go down centerline (starts your 30 minutes), and you are judged. You will get a score sheet back. After your ride, you will have the opportunity to talk to the judge, get exercises to help improve your test, then ride it (or parts of it) again. You and the judge will decide how to best use your time! Remember that Dressage tests are dated 2023, Western Dressage tests are dated 2026, Eventing tests are dated 2026, and Working Equitation tests are dated 2026.

Complete entries must be received by the Entry Due Date. Complete entry includes a signed entry form, payment of fees, and a negative Coggins dated within 12 months prior to the show. Final ride times will be available by Thursday before the show at www.kdea.org and will also be emailed to each rider. Entries received after the Entry Due Date may be accepted if space is available. No refunds after the Entry Due Date.

Dressage tests will be held in the indoor arena. All competing horses must be at least 3 years of age. Protective helmets/boots must be worn by ALL riders when mounted. Dogs are not allowed. Children under 15 must be accompanied at all times by an adult.

Waiver of Liability for Participation: I hereby agree that the judge hired, KDEA, Capall Baile and their officers, owners, agents, and employees, Eagle View Equestrian and their officers, owners, agents, and employees, shall not be responsible or liable to me for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from my participation in the KDEA Ride A Test. I hereby expressly release and waive any claims I may have against the judge hired, KDEA, Capall Baile and their officers, owners, agents, and employees, Eagle View Equestrian and their officers, owners, agents, and employees, and I agree to indemnify said parties against any and all claims for injury, loss, or damage I may suffer. WARNING: Under Kansas law, there is no liability for an injury to or the death of a participant in domestic animal activities resulting from the inherent risks of domestic animal activities, pursuant to K.S.A. 60-4001 through 60-4004. You are assuming the risk of participating in this domestic animal activity. Inherent risks of domestic animal activities include, but shall not be limited to: (1) The propensity of a domestic animal to behave in ways i.e., running, bucking, biting, kicking, shying, stumbling, rearing, falling or stepping on, that may result in an injury, harm or death to persons on or around them; (2) the unpredictability of a domestic animal's reaction to such things as sounds, sudden movement and unfamiliar objects, persons or other animals; (3) certain hazards such as surface and subsurface conditions; (4) collisions with other domestic animals or objects; and (5) the potential of a participant to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to injury to the participant or others, such as failing to maintain control over the domestic animal or not acting within such participant's ability.
