This event IS NOT sanctioned with any organization. It is a Mock trial with Special Leap Ribbons for fun and practice.

For this event we will be using the IDS divisions and rules. Your dog does not need to be registered with any organization to compete.

 

Events Offered January 31, 2026

Eclipse – A toy is suspended over the pool at varying distances, and the dog must knock the toy down.

Horizon – The distance the dog jumps from the dock, measured from the point where the base of the tail enters the water.

Velocity – The time it takes for the dog to retrieve a toy from the end of the pool.

The Leap

Dock, Pool & Swimming Liability Waiver & Release of Liability This is an important legal document. Please read carefully before signing.

This waiver applies to all activities conducted at The Leap, which is a Doing Business As (DBA) of Leapdog LLC. References to The Leap and Leapdog LLC are used interchangeably and refer to the same legal entity.

I understand that participation involves inherent risks, including slips, falls, water-related injuries, equipment failure, interactions with dogs or people, and other unforeseen hazards. I voluntarily assume all risks for myself and my dog(s).

I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless The Leap and Leapdog LLC, including their owners, operators, employees, contractors, volunteers, agents, and representatives, from any and all claims arising from participation, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by Texas law.

I agree to comply with all facility rules, policies, and safety instructions provided separately.

Acknowledgement and Signatures

By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to this waiver. This waiver applies to the primary participant. Any additional adults who are present on the dock or in the pool area will need to sign this waiver in person at the event.

Pre-Registration

Each round cost $12. Pre-registration closes January 30, 2026 at 6Pm. On-site registation will be available Saturday Morning starting at 9:00 AM Providing space is available. On-site registration will cost $20 for each round. Check The Leap Facebook page Friday night for announcment on spaces available. Pre-Registration is highly recommended.

Payment

You will receive an invoice for the rounds you selected via email within 24 hours of submission. Invoices must be paid within 24 hours to secure your spot(s).
