    Please note: Staff are hired based not just on their credentials and experience, but also on their availability and dependability. Last minute changes to schedules are very difficult to accommodate without hiring additional staff to ensure that we have the team that we need every day. Our team members want as many hours as possible, but bringing on extra staff to ensure that we can operate means fewer shifts are available because we need to ensure that everyone in good standing is getting scheduled. We cannot be understaffed. Therefore, we need our team members to communicate their availability and honor it. Changes to availability require two weeks' notice and are not guaranteed, though we will do everything possible to accommodate them. We turn down applications every year from individuals who really want to work with us. If we cannot depend on our team's stated availability for the 11 weeks (including training) when they are hired, we risk the quality of the services we provide, and that simply is not an option. We need your cooperation in making sure we are well prepared with the best team possible every day. Your cooperation with this will allow us to honor sick days and funeral leave as needed when emergencies arise.
