  • About Winter Camp

WC26 is the annual winter camp for Waypoint Youth, the official youth ministry of Waypoint Church. WC26 is at Black Lake Bible Camp in Olympia, WA. We'll spend 3 days and 2 nights together learning, playing, being challenged, and connecting with each other. You can expect big group activities, arts and crafts, field sports, campfires, climbing, archery tag, disc golf, carpetball, and mini golf during our time together. WC26 is a Bible-based Christian Retreat that teaches students to live out the Love of Jesus Christ in their own lives and as they love others with that same love.

  • You can find detailed info about WC26 at waypointyouth.com/camps, but we need to cover some basics here.

  • Also on the website - you will find a waiver from Black Lake Bible Camp. That is for any students who wish to participate in Archery OR the Climbing Wall. This waiver does NOT register you for camp. This form can be signed by you, OR you can check below, deferring that right to Designated Leaders (Pastor Drew Pappas, Cole Maurmann, or Katy May Lewis) to sign it as your signee.

Black Lake Bible Camp allows parents to give verbal permission to Camp Directors to sign this particular waiver, if they choose it. We offer it here as a convenience.

  •  - -
  • Student Medical Information

We want to take care of your student as best we can. It can be helpful to us to have this information so we can watch out for them and make sure their camp experience is as good as it can be! If any of the following overall health issues apply to your student, please let us know in the field below each list. Describe the issue, what we can expect from the student, and how we can help them.
  • Student Medication Info

  • Custody: All medications are maintained with camp staff.

Campers may NOT self-administer prescription or over the counter medications, including Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Advil, Cold remedies, decongestants, antihistamines, vitamins, medicated creams and ointments, unless given an agreed-upon exception, clearly communicated between parents, student, and camp staff.
  • Containers: All medications must be in original bottles.

Prescription medications must have pharmacy label with name of patient and drug, dose amount, doctor name and directions. Nonprescription medications and supplements must be in original packaging. It is recommended that all medicine amounts provided should be limited to the supply necessary for the duration of the camper’s stay. All medication will be given per directions and dosage on the bottle unless guardian has notified us in writing of any changes.
  • Inhalers & EpiPens: Inhalers & EpiPens must be provided to camp staff upon arrival.

After inhaler and EpiPen has been verified, it will be distributed to the camper for self-use, or resident counselor as deemed appropriate by camp staff.
  • Medication Information

We need to know all of the medications your child will be taking at camp. Our camp nurse will see to it that they are administered correctly, on time, at the right dose. Again, we will verify this with you and the student at drop-off.
  • Additional Medications:

Leave blank any input fields that do not apply.
  • Parent / Family Info

  • Parental/Family Info: Do we already have this information?

The following section contains questions for parents, emergency contacts, and asks for doctor info that most likely will apply to all of your students, if you are sending multiple students from the same household. If this is the case, and you've already filled out this info, we'll allow you to bypass it to save you some time.
  • Secondary/Emergency Contact

Another adult we can contact in case of an emergency.
  • Family Medical Info

If you are sending multiple students to camp and they have DIFFERENT health care providers, you can write all information here, separated by commas, clearly letting us know which information is for which student. Example: "Lasgol's Doctor: Elon Musk. David's Doctor: Jeffrey Bezos."
  • Student Agreement

ALL STUDENTS will be required to read and sign the student agreement when they arrive at camp! This is a one-page contract for students that, by signing, the student agrees to all rules and requirements to attend camp. If a student does not sign the agreement, they will not be permitted to attend camp.
  • While it cannot be signed now, you can still read it so you and your student know what to expect. You can read the student agreement at waypointyouth.com/camps
  • We STRONGLY recommend you go over this with your student so that they know what they are getting into!
  • Media Recording

From time to time, we at WayPoint Church take photographs and/or video for promotional purposes at events associated with church activities. In print or digital media, images of minors are not referenced with last name nor provide specific identifying information. Images are not sold; they are used exclusively for WayPoint Church’s purposes.
  • We also love to promote our students and how awesome they are through our social media outlets, such as facebook, instagram, tiktok, and our website. The only people permitted to post on these outlets during camp are youth leaders who understand our policy of always posting with care given to how students are depicted and/or identified in these posts, and not posting things frivolously. WayPoint Youth prides itself in the culture of mutual respect, care, and dignity that our students and leaders share.
  • By signing below, you acknowledge this and give unrestricted permission to WayPoint Church (WPC) for your student's image to be used in print, video, and digital media at WC26, February 13-15. These images may be used by WPC for a variety of purposes, such as promoting a church/youth event, and may be used without notifying you. Unique identifying information, such as your child's last name, will not be used in conjunction with any video or digital images. If you have questions or objections to this, please reach out to Pastor Drew at dpappas@waypoint-church.org.
