    NLWA will shortlist the applications received and work with our colleagues in the north London boroughs to select the successful schools.

    The deadline to complete this application form is 20 March 2026.

  • PROJECT LEAD CONTACT DETAILS

  • If your school is successful in your application, you will need to appoint a Project Lead who will liaise regularly with North London Waste Authority. Please confirm you agree to this.*

  • Please confirm that you have watched the briefing video and agree that you can commit the time needed to deliver the programme successfully.*
  • If your application is successful, your school will be asked to make a commitment in the form of a pledge or manifesto. This would outline the actions or changes you plan to take around waste prevention and sustainability - for example, reviewing your school ethos or vision, or hosting an annual circular economy day. Do you agree to take part in this activity?*
  • If your school completes the full year of the programme, you’ll be eligible to join our accreditation scheme, which supports ongoing teaching and planning around circular economy principles. If you complete the year, would you be interested in taking part in the accreditation scheme?*
  • NLWA will host an In the Know introduction webinar for selected schools. If your school is chosen, can you join the online session on 6 May 2026 from 4-5pm? Please note that more details will be sent to the successful schools nearer the time.*
  • If your school is selected, NLWA will host an In the Know awards ceremony to celebrate the end of the programme and your achievements. Could you confirm that a small group of students and staff from your school would be able to attend on 9 July 2027 at EcoPark House?*
  • This programme involves engagement with a number of stakeholders within your school. Can you confirm your Headteacher and/or Board of Governors has agreed to you applying for this programme?*
