NLWA will shortlist the applications received and work with our colleagues in the north London boroughs to select the successful schools.

If your application is successful, your school will be asked to make a commitment in the form of a pledge or manifesto. This would outline the actions or changes you plan to take around waste prevention and sustainability - for example, reviewing your school ethos or vision, or hosting an annual circular economy day. If your school completes the full year of the programme, you’ll be eligible to join our accreditation scheme, which supports ongoing teaching and planning around circular economy principles. If you complete the year, would you be interested in taking part in the accreditation scheme?*

NLWA will host an In the Know introduction webinar for selected schools. If your school is chosen, can you join the online session on 6 May 2026 from 4-5pm? Please note that more details will be sent to the successful schools nearer the time.*
