1. Participation at Own Risk
All participation is at the participant’s own risk. The organizer (South Sweden Powerboats) assumes no responsibility for personal injury, property damage, financial loss, or other incidents that may occur during the event—whether at sea or on land.
Each boat owner/participant is fully responsible for their vessel, crew, and surroundings.
2. Mandatory Attendance at the Skippers’ Briefing
Both the driver and navigator must be present at the skippers’ briefing.
Failure to attend will result in disqualification from participation.
3. Maritime Rules and Safety
All participants are required to comply with applicable maritime regulations, speed limits, and local rules.
All participants must wear life jackets.
All drivers must use a kill switch (engine cut-off lanyard) if the boat is equipped with one.
If weather conditions or other external factors affect safety, each skipper is responsible for making sound decisions. The designated route is only a suggestion. If an alternative route is required, this is acceptable. NOTE: The organizer must be informed via text message if the route is aborted.
Each crew is obligated to assist persons in distress in accordance with maritime law.
Maintain a safe distance from all other vessels on the water.
Maintain awareness behind you, especially when overtaking or changing course.
At locations where speed is reduced, all occupants in the boat must raise a hand to signal and alert boats behind.
4. Alcohol Consumption
Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited while underway.
Swedish alcohol regulations apply at sea: the legal blood alcohol limit is 0.2‰. Violations are enforced by the Swedish Coast Guard and Police Authority. Never operate a vessel under the influence.
5. Respect for Other Participants
Show consideration—both on land and at sea.
Do not operate vessels in a reckless, intimidating, or disruptive manner.
Do not run too close to other boats at high speed.
Avoid excessive wake in harbors and narrow passages.
6. Respect for Property and the Environment
Respect other boats, property, trailer parking areas, and local residents.
Do not litter—take all trash and cigarette butts with you and use designated waste bins.
Unnecessary engine revving in harbor areas, residential zones, and during nighttime hours is discouraged.
7. Vessel Condition and Conduct
All participants are directly subject to the authority of the lead (flag) boat and/or organizer vessels.
No vessel may pass the flag boat while the flag is raised; a lowered flag indicates free running.
Each participant is expected to keep their vessel in good condition and seaworthy from a safety perspective.
The organizer reserves the right to deny participation due to insufficient safety standards, disruptive behavior, or lack of respect for the event.
8. Trailers and Parking
Trailer parking must follow provided instructions. Parking is at the participant’s own risk.
The organizer is not responsible for damage or theft.
9. Cancellation / Refund Policy
The base registration fee of SEK 1,495 (regular price SEK 1,895) is non-refundable. Accommodation booked through the organizer may be canceled and refunded only if notice is given no later than one (1) month prior to the event, allowing the reservation to be canceled with the hotel. Cancellations or canceled runs due to weather conditions or other external circumstances do not entitle participants to any refund.
10. Photography and Media
By participating, you consent to photographs and video recordings from the event being used by the organizer for marketing and promotional purposes.
11. Organizer’s Rights
The organizer reserves the right to:
Remove participants who violate the rules.
Cancel or modify parts of the event due to unforeseen circumstances.
Maintain order and safety in cooperation with relevant authorities.
