Southern Ohio Cleanup Company (SOCCo) will award $10,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Jackson, Pike, Ross, and Scioto counties who have parent/guardian or grandparent who works for SOCCo. The student must be pursuing a degree in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) fields or entering a program for a career in the trades.
SOCCo's mission is to create opportunities for area students to excel in STEAM disciplines.
Eligibility
STEAM Scholarship - must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and be accepted into an accredited college or university with a declared major in a STEAM field.
Trades Scholarship - must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher and entered in a vocational, apprenticeship or certificate program.
Ten scholarships, each valued at $1,000, will be awarded to deserving students. These scholarships are nonrenewable.

- Two Letters of Recommendation: These should come from either a community member or faculty member who can attest to your academic abilities and/or extracurricular activities.
- Transcripts: Submit your high school transcript and your College Credit Plus/Dual Credit transcript if applicable.
Essay Information
An essay is required as part of the completed application. It is highly recommended to draft your essay in Microsoft Word, an email, or another note-related application and then copy and paste it into the form. Please note that due to current security features, this form cannot be saved. If you do not complete and submit the form in one sitting, your information will be lost.
