Mercer County 4-H Memorial Scholarship Guidelines:

1. Scholarship amount and number of recipients shall be determined annually by the scholarship committee.

2. Applicants must be an active member of a Mercer County 4-H Club and a high school senior (or in their last year of 4-H)

3. Preference will be given to applicants who have enrolled in and exhibited general projects.

4. Scholarship is intended for educational purposes at a college, university or trade school. Proof of enrollment and registration will be required to receive the scholarship money.

5. Deadline for the application is March 1. Email high school transcripts to lkflick@illinois.edu by March 1.

Criteria for Scoring the Application (and percentage of total score for each area):

Years of 4-H Involvement: 10% 4-H Project Accomplishments: 30% Leadership Experience: 20% School, Church and/or Community Involvement: 15% Community Service Record: 15% Employment Experiences: 5% GPA/Class Ranking: 5%
