We are excited to offer an artist market for artists with intellectual, developmental, communication, visual, and/or physical disabilities at the 2026 Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival. This section of Lazy Daze will be called "ACCESS the Arts." Limited spots are available; see the information below to apply. Applications close on March 18th, 2026. Artists will be contacted by April 3rd, 2026, to be notified of acceptance or waitlist status.
When is the event? Saturday and Sunday, August 22nd-23rd, 2026, 9 am-3 pm, must be available both days.
When can I set up? Friday, August 21st, 3-5pm
Where? Herb Young Community Center Gym at the Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival (Your booth will be indoors)
Cost? Cary Residents: Fee Waived this year! Non-Cary Residents: $100
Important Dates:
March 18th: Applications Close
April 3rd: Artists are notified of acceptance or if waitlisted
May 1st: Booth Fees and Artist Agreement Forms Due
June 29th: Lunch Orders Due
July 24th: Last Day to receive 100% refund
August 21st: Set Up Booth
August 22nd-23rd: 50th Annual Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival
*Each artist must be on-site during the festival to staff their booth. Business partners, family members, aides, and/or additional help may be present, but artists are required to be present at their booth during sales hours aside from short breaks.
Artist Amenities:
- Each artist will receive 1 6ft table, tablecloth, and 2 chairs to borrow for the market. Additional chairs and tables should be requested in advance.
- On-site Parking (Accessible Parking available on a first-come, first-served basis)
- Artist hospitality with coffee and snacks
- Opportunity to purchase Lunch Delivery ($15 per boxed lunch)
- Booth sitters
- Extensive PR and Marketing
- Energetic Staff and Volunteers
- Artists retain all sales proceeds. Artists must be able to take their own payments.
