  • When an Owner or Operator imports a horse into Ireland or becomes the Owner or Operator of a horse born in Ireland with an identification document (passport) issued by a Passport Issuing Organisation (PIO) in another country, they must lodge the passport with an appropriate Irish PIO within 30 days for entry into the DAFM Central Equine Database. For a foreign-bred or foreign-registered warmblood horse, WSI is the appropriate PIO.

    Complete this form and send the passport to the Warmblood Studbook of Ireland for processing. WSI is required under Irish law to submit the information provided on this form to the DAFM Central Equine Database and to store the data in WSI's secure database.

    • The Keeper has the  Premises on which the equine is kept, and has a valid EPRN or EEN.

    • What do you get for your fee?

      You will receive the following services for your fee:

      • We will WhatsApp you and let you know when the passport arrives.
      • The passport will be inspected to ensure it's a valid document.
      • Your horse's details (UELN, microchip number, etc) will be entered in to the DAFM Central Database and WSI's secure database.
      • Your horse's human food chain status as recorded in the passport and databases will be verified and reconciled, if needed.
      • The details of the owner and keeper will be entered into the two databases.
      • The passport will be stamped showing that it has been lodged with WSI.
      • An ownership label will be inserted, signed, and stamped in the passport.
      • Your horse's passport will be promptly returned to the Operator by Express Post.
      • We will send you by WhatsApp a photo of your parcel and the tracking number.
      • All prices (except memberships) are inclusive of VAT at 23%.

    • By submitting this form, I agree to be bound by the Rules and Procedures of the Warmblood Studbook of Ireland. I understand that to comply with the law, WSI must obtain, record, and store information about my name, postal address, email address, telephone number, and Equine Registered Premises Number (EPRN). I understand that WSI must share this information with the Department of Agriculture, Food & the Marine (DAFM). This information must be held by WSI for a period of at least 35 years or at least 2 years from the date of communication of the equine’s death. Information about my horse will be held in perpetuity.

      For the sole purpose of payment, I consent to WSI obtaining my credit/debit card details for one-time processing of the fee. I understand that the credit/debit card details will not be recorded or stored by WSI.

      I understand that I have the right to access my information held by WSI, to have any inaccuracies corrected, and to have my information deleted if WSI is not required by the law to retain the information.
