  • The Independence Day Committee is now accepting applications for non-profit organization booths for the 4th of July Festival at Memorial Park. The booth area will be open from 10:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Unloading Passes will need to be picked up at the Alexander Hughes Community Center in June 2026.

  • Hold Harmless Agreement

    I understand and acknowledge that, although the City of Claremont takes measures to ensure participants' safety, there are inherent risks associated with the above-referenced activity/event, such as property damage, injury, illness, and death. To the extent permit- ted by law, I - on behalf of myself, my heirs, and my personal representatives, and on behalf of any minor children listed above - hereby agree to release, indemnify, defend and hold harmless the City of Claremont and its officials, officers, employees, contractors, volunteers, and agents from and against any and all liabilities, claims, penalties, losses, or expenses (including attorneys' fees), of any kind or nature whatsoever, whether related to bodily injury, property damage, or any other form of injury or loss, caused by any negligent act or omission of the City of Claremont or its officials, officers, employees, contractors, volunteers, and agents, arising out of or in any way related to the activity/event. In particular, I understand and acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and that the CDC and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing. I further acknowledge that the City of Claremont has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, but the City cannot guarantee that participants will not become infected with COVID-19 as a result of their attendance at this activity or event. I understand and acknowledge the risk of being exposed to and/or infected by COVID-19 as a result of attending this activity or event. Knowing this risk, I and/or the children listed above voluntarily agree to attend the activity or event. I agree to comply with all federal, state, and local laws, health orders, guidelines, and procedures that aim to reduce the spread of COVID-19 during this activity/event. If I observe any unusual or significant hazard during the activity/event, I will take immediate precautions to ensure my safety (such as leaving the activity or event, if necessary) and immediately bring the hazard to the attention of the City Human Services staff or the City's Police Department. I hereby authorize the City of Claremont to call for emergency assistance (including an ambulance) in case of accident or acute illness, and to arrange for necessary medical or surgical care for me/any child listed above in the event that the emergency contact person(s) designated are unavailable. I understand that a conscientious effort will be made to notify me or the emergency contact person designated at the time of enrollment before such action is taken. I am participating/allowing any children listed above to participate at my own risk. | understand and agree that, as a participant in this activity/event, I and any children listed above may be photographed, and I agree that the City may use such photographs for City purposes (such as to publicize City activities/events) without compensation and with- out further permission. Icertify that I have read and understand this waiver and release. I certify that I have capacity to sign this contract for any minor chil- dren listed above (i.e., I am their parent, legal guardian, or I have authorization from their parent or legal guardian to contract on their behalf By signing below, I am accepting these risks and responsibilities for myself and for any children listed above.

  • General Regulations

    1. Booths will be reserved on a first come first served basis with priority going to Claremont based organizations.
    2. Each booth must display a sign, at least 8 1/2” x 11”, stating the name of the non-profit organization.
    3. Each booth space will be a 10’ x 10’. Organizations may not use space outside of their assigned area for storage, seating, etc.
    4. All organizations must agree to abide by all deadlines, rules and regulations set forth by the Independence Day Committee and the City of Claremont. Infractions may result in suspension from future participation.
    5. All organizations must comply with all fire codes, laws, ordinances, and regulations pertinent to health, fire prevention, and public safety.
    6. Organizations are responsible for unloading, set-up and clean-up of their booths.
    7. Organizations may not enter the unloading zone until the time specidied on the parking pass and may not leave their vehicle unattended.
    8. Speed limit within the unloading zone is 5 MPH.
    9. Booths must not open or close before times specified on the forms.
    10. No refunds for cancellations. Organizations that fail to show up may be suspended from future participation.
    11. Booth locations are not guaranteed and are made at the discretion of the Independence Day Committee and City of Claremont.
    12. All tape, decorations, supplies and equipment must be completely removed. Booths and tables must be left in their original condition.
    13. Portable generators are prohibited.
    14. Amplified sound is prohibited. Prior approval is required for acapella music and/or entertainment at individual booths.
    15. All booths must have adult supervision at all times.
    16. City of Claremont and event sponsor booths are exempt from booth regulations.

    Game/Fee-based Activity Booth

    1. Only non-profit organizations may participate, with priority going to Claremont based organizations.
    2. No sale items or opportunity drawings (raffles) are allowed.
    3. Food or beverages may not be distributed, with the exception of a wrapped piece of candy.
    4. A random drawing will be conducted if more than one group wants to have the same activity.
    5. Each group must submit proof of 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Status upon request.
    6. Participants are responsible for paying their own sales taxes.
    7. Electricity is not available.
    8. Booths will be provided with one 8’ table. All other equipment must be provided by the organization.

    Information/Non Fee-based Activity Booth

    1. Only non-profit organizations may participate, with priority going to Claremont based organizations.
    2. No items are to be sold and no donations may be accepted, including opportunity drawings (raffles).
    3. Organization must provide a list of free giveaways.
    4. Food or beverages may not be distributed, with the exception of a wrapped piece of candy.
    5. Electricity is not available.
    6. Booths will be provided with one 8’ table. All other equipment must be provided by the organization.

    Selling Booth

    1. Only non-profit organizations may participate, with priority going to Claremont based organizations.
    2. All selling items must be listed on the application form and be approved in advance by the Independence Day Committee and City of Claremont.
    3. A random drawing will be conducted if more than one group wants to sell the same item.
    4. Each group must submit proof of 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Status upon request.
    5. Participants are responsible for paying their own sales taxes.
    6. Opportunity Drawings (raffles) must be approved in advance by the City of Claremont and adhere to applicable state and local laws.
    7. Food or beverages may not be distributed, with the exception of a wrapped piece of candy.
    8. Electricity is not available.
    9. Sales may only take place at the selling table.
    10. Booths will be provided with one 8’ table. All other equipment must be provided by the organization.
