Commitment to class attendance is critical. Participation in this program is competitive and we ask all applicants to review the on-line calendar and seriously consider the time requirement. Please note that students who miss more than three classes will not receive a completion certificate. The LYPC provides numerous benefits for students who participate: direct engagement in the non-profit community, hand-on experience awarding $7,000 in local grants; leadership skills training; team-building; networking with local leaders; lessons on philanthropy and development of non-profit business skills. Class time counts as service hours, and the staff is happy to write recommendation letters for students in good standing. Can we count your attendance at the Saturday classes, as well as the Celebration Dinner in March?
