  • This is an application to be a volunteer at Books Gowns and Crowns: Chapter 5, taking place in San Diego, CA. September 17-19, 2026. Filling out this application does not guarantee you a spot as a volunteer. 

     

    EVENT PROGRAMMING
    Volunteers are expected to be on-site during the duration of the event starting Thursday 9/17 - Saturday 9/19.

    VOLUNTEER TICKETS
    Volunteers are required to have a ticket to Books Gowns & Crowns. There are two options for discounted Volunteer Tickets below:

    CROWNS Volunteer - $175 ($224 OFF) 

    • Volunteer shirt
    • Early access into convention either Friday or Saturday. *Date depends on scheduled shift
    • Crowns Tier Swag Bag
    • Entrance into ALL events over the weekend. *Paid workshops not included


    BOOKS Volunteer - $50 ($50 OFF)

    • Volunteer shirt
    • Early Access into convention either Friday or Saturday. *Date depends on scheduled shift
    • *Please note: This ticket tier does NOT include a Swag Bag, Admission into Welcome Party, Fashion Show, or Fantasy Ball. This ticket includes access to Convention hours and panels ONLY.

     


    *If you already have a ticket, you may still fill out this form to volunteer. It is important to note that should you be accepted and already have a BGC Chapter 5 ticket, we will not be offering a refund or crediting the price difference. Priority will be given to those without a ticket first.


    Emails will be sent to those accepted by February 1, 2026. There will be a Discord for all accepted volunteers to join where they can chat and ask questions. We will use Discord to communicate during the event itself so be sure you have an account. Please note that volunteer tickets purchased are non refundable/transferrable, so please only purchase if you can 100% attend. Failure to show up for your designated shift will result in your removal from the event. Once selected, you will be sent a link to Ticketor to purchase your ticket if you have not already done so.
