    Application for ASA Legislative Conference
  • The Alexander Hannenberg Scholarship is awarded annually to a medical student, resident/fellow, or young professional/early career physician- providing funding of up to $1,500 to attend the ASA Legislative Conference in Washington, DC, held in May, in support of education and leadership development in anesthesiology.   • Scholarship Requirements

    • Must be a current engaged MSA member
    • Medical Students, Residents & Fellows are invited to apply
    • Early Career Physicians (within 3 years)

    Terms and Conditions

    This document outlines the terms and conditions governing the Hannenberg, Advance, Medical Student (General & Anesthesiology Accepted), Resident/Fellow, and Young Professional/Early Career scholarships awarded by the Massachusetts Society of Anesthesiology (MSA). By applying for a scholarship, the applicant agrees to adhere to these terms and conditions.

    Eligibility

    • Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited medical school, if applicable
    • Applicants must be residents of Massachusetts
    • Applicants must be current Massachusetts Society of Anesthesiology (MSA) Members

    Application Process

    • Applications must be submitted online by the designated deadline
    • Accompanied by all required documentation
      • Application/Agreement
      • CV upload
    • Incomplete applications shall not be considered.
    • Scholarship awardee will be selected by scholarship selection committee

    Disbursement of Funds

    Scholarship funds shall be disbursed directly to the recipient on a reimbursement basis following the event/conference

    • Recipients must provide required documentation/receipts and/or an intended usage report prior to the disbursement of funds.

    Non-Discrimination Policy

    The MSA shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or any other characteristic protected by law in its scholarship programs.


    Amendments

    The MSA reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Recipients will be notified of any changes that may affect their scholarships.

    Recipients may be requested to participate in promotional activities for the MSA, which may include, but are not limited to, providing testimonials and public recognition.

    By submitting an application for the scholarship, the applicant acknowledges and agrees to adhere to these terms and conditions.
