The Florida College of Emergency Physicians (FCEP) is now accepting nominations for its Board of Directors for the upcoming 2026–2029 term until May 31, 2026!
There will be four (4) open seats in this election cycle. Incumbent Board members are to be confirmed form. All candidates submit a nomination form.

Why Serve on the FCEP Board?
Serving on the FCEP Board of Directors is both an honor and a vital responsibility. Board members:
- Play a key role in shaping the future of emergency medicine in Florida.
- Help advance the College’s mission, goals, and strategic objectives.
- Participate in developing statewide strategies to protect and strengthen the emergency medicine system.
- Advocate on behalf of FCEP’s membership at all levels.
- Promote and protect the emergency medicine specialty.
Eligibility & Term Details:
- Elected Board members serve a three-year term and may serve a maximum of two consecutive terms (per Bylaws Article VI, Section 3).
- Newly elected directors will officially begin their term at the Annual Board Meeting on August 6, 2026 and serve through August 2029 (per Bylaws Article VI, Section 4).
- Candidates must be regular members in good standing of the Florida Chapter at the time of nomination and election.
- Residents and medical students are not eligible to serve on the Board of Directors.
Expectations:
- Directors are expected to attend one or more quarterly committee meetings, all quarterly Board meetings and major FCEP events (e.g., EM Days, Symposium by the Sea)
- Engage actively in discussions, initiatives, and member-driven work.
- Prepare in advance by reviewing all meeting materials.
- Participate in thoughtful, informed decision-making.
- In-person attendance is strongly encouraged when feasible.
