Rules and Regulations
1. Blake’s Local Loaf Market will take place on several dates and possibly several locations as the season continues. Once you commit to attending on the dates indicated below, you are expected to show up unless an unexpected situation arises, such as illness, an emergency, or a scheduling conflict, in which case, prior notice is required.
2. All applicants must submit the following: (2) images of your product, (1) image of your booth display. If you do not have a photo of your booth, please submit a drawing with a detailed description of your setup. Upon acceptance of the event, these photos may be used for event promotion.
3. All products sold must be prepared in your home kitchen, in compliance with Michigan's Cottage Food Law.
4. Vendors must be present for the entire event and are required to provide their own table and chairs.
5. Acceptance will occur as applications are received. To achieve a balanced event, we reserve the right to limit the number of vendors.
6. All applicants will be juried and will receive notification of status 2 weeks prior to market date!
7. All accepted vendors must fully comply with Michigan Cottage Food Law and assume complete liability for any customer incidents, including the sale of expired food, mislabeling, allergic reactions, etc. Blake Farms assumes no responsibility or liability for any incidents. By attending this event as a vendor, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
8. A temporary Macomb County Health Department Certificate is required for the sale of consumable food. If you operate under Michigan's Cottage Food Law, that will suffice.
9. No dogs are allowed on the premises.
10. All products must be labeled in compliance with Michigan Cottage Food Law.
11. Driving or parking on the grounds for loading/unloading is NOT permitted.
12. All inventory must be contained within your booth space and cannot interfere with adjacent booths or walkways.
13. Vendors are solely responsible for the safety and security of their property. Blake Farms will not be held liable for any loss, damage, or theft of items from vendor tables.
14. Vendors are only to bring items for sale that they disclose in their application and comply with Michigan Cottage Food Law. Failure to do so can result in the vendor coordinators asking you to remove those items.
15. Vendors agree to conduct themselves in a respectful, cooperative manner. Any behavior deemed inappropriate by Blake’s may result in expulsion. Blake’s Cider Mill has a family-friendly atmosphere and does not wish to include radical, disturbing displays or outbursts at this event.
16. Any violation of these rules may result in expulsion.
