Telling Tales is currently seeking applicants for a new Indigenous Literature Selection Advisor to support our 2026 Selection Advisory Committee (SAC).
This advisory role will review submissions of Indigenous-authored and/or illustrated children’s books and provide written and/or verbal recommendations to the SAC. Telling Tales prioritizes local, regional, and national Indigenous voices and recognizes the vital role of Indigenous stories, languages, and cultural knowledge in advancing understanding and reconciliation in Canada. This role will also participate in reviewing and ranking all submissions to help form the final Telling Tales Annual Reading List.
The SAC is a committee of children’s story lovers that reads and recommends all of our titles for our year-round programming, including the 18th Annual Telling Tales Festival!
