STAIR Spring 2026 Substitute Tutor Application
STAIR is a once weekly, one-on-one literacy tutoring program for 2nd and 3rd graders. STAIR is offering both virtual and in-person tutoring this semester. STAIR substitute tutors fill in at in person tutoring sites on an at-need basis when tutors are either unable to attend a regularly scheduled session or when a makeup session occurs on a day different to a regularly scheduled session. Substitute tutors who have not tutored with STAIR before may be asked to complete some tutor training remotely.

As a part of the STAIR team, we ask that you make a commitment, to the best of your ability, to protect the interests of STAIR and the students we serve. Please read and agree to these expectations.

STAIR’s curriculum was designed to help students learn the necessary grade-level foundational literacy skills. I understand I am expected to follow the provided curriculum and only make changes or supplements with the approval and assistance of STAIR staff.
