    Client Waiver & Participation Agreement
Small Dog Social Club is designed to provide a positive, low-pressure environment where small dogs can safely socialize, explore, build confidence, and enjoy time around other dogs and people. Dogs are never required to play or interact. Calmly observing, exploring the space, or choosing to relax near the group are all successful forms of participation.

By participating in Small Dog Social Club, you agree to the following requirements, guidelines, and acknowledgements.

    Eligibility & Participation:
    - Dogs must weigh 20 lbs or less to participate.
    - Pet parents must remain in attendance with their dog for the duration of the session and are responsible for monitoring their dog.
-Attendance is limited to two humans per family.
-Dogs over 8 months of age must be spayed or neutered to participate.

Whoa Doggie reserves the right to assess or reassess a dog's suitability for Small Dog Social Club at any time. Participation may be paused or refused if a dog's behaviour, health, or comfort indicates that the group environment is not appropriate for them.

    Rules of Play
To help keep Small Dog Social Club comfortable, positive, and enjoyable for everyone, please follow these guidelines:

Let dogs choose their interactions: Please do not approach, reach for, pick up, or attempt to pet another participant's dog unless invited by their pet parent. Many dogs attending Social Club are still building confidence around unfamiliar dogs and people and may need several visits before they feel comfortable interacting.

Give dogs space: Allow dogs to approach people and other dogs at their own pace. If a dog moves away, seeks space, or chooses not to interact, please respect their choice.

Treats require permission: Do not offer food or treats to another dog without permission from their pet parent. Dogs may have allergies, dietary restrictions, or food sensitivities.

Leave personal toys at home: Please do not bring toys, balls, chews, or other high-value items into the play space. This helps reduce competition between dogs and allows Whoa Doggie staff to select appropriate activities and enrichment for the group.

Follow staff direction: Whoa Doggie staff may pause or redirect interactions, provide rest breaks, adjust the playgroup, or ask a pet parent to provide their dog with additional space when needed. Our priority is maintaining safe, appropriate, and positive interactions for everyone.

    Health Requirements
All participating dogs must meet Whoa Doggie's current health and vaccination requirements. Dogs must be up to date on Rabies, Bordetella, and DAPP vaccinations, with veterinary documentation provided. Approved titre testing may be accepted where applicable.

Dogs showing signs of illness or a potentially contagious condition should not attend Small Dog Social Club. Whoa Doggie reserves the right to refuse participation if a dog appears unwell or may pose a health risk to other participants.

    Health & Risk Acknowledgement:
While Whoa Doggie takes reasonable precautions to promote a safe environment, interaction between dogs carries inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated.

By participating, you acknowledge and accept that:

-Minor injuries such as scratches, scrapes, or bruising may occur during normal dog-to-dog interaction and play.
-More significant injuries, while uncommon, are possible whenever dogs interact.
-Dogs participating in group environments may be exposed to communicable illnesses or conditions, including kennel cough, canine influenza, lice, and papilloma virus.
-Individual dogs may respond unpredictably to other dogs, people, sounds, movement, or activities within a group environment.

By signing this agreement, you acknowledge and voluntarily accept the inherent risks associated with your dog's participation in Small Dog Social Club.

    Pet Parent Responsibility:
-You remain responsible for supervising and appropriately managing your dog throughout the session. Please promptly follow instructions provided by Whoa Doggie staff regarding your dog's interactions, behaviour, or participation.

-You are financially responsible for injury or property damage caused by your dog to another dog, person, equipment, or the facility, subject to applicable law.

    Media Consent
Photos and videos may be taken during Small Dog Social Club sessions. By signing this agreement, you consent to Whoa Doggie using photos or videos of your dog for social media, marketing, promotional, and educational purposes. Media created by Whoa Doggie remains the property of Whoa Doggie.

    Agreement
By signing below, I confirm that I have read and understand the Small Dog Social Club Rules of Play, eligibility and health requirements, and risk acknowledgements outlined above. I agree to follow staff direction and understand that Whoa Doggie may end or refuse my dog's participation when necessary for the safety, comfort, or wellbeing of my dog, other participants, or staff.
